IF they release a new x720 by the end of 2010, then it will be something capable of PS3 graphics and all games will run at 1080p@60Fps + it will have BC for xbox and x360 and probably cost 399$ in best case, that still with losing some money on production. I don`t think, they can sell it for 499$, since after RROD, that first x360 model had it will be hard for M$ to attract consumers. Thouhg, I`m not sure, iF M$ want to continue losing money..., unless it will cost them only 399$ to produce. ...
Not yet, BUT later PSP support from Japan and Western developers is really impressive. That should definitely push PSP ahead in Japan.

FFVII, FFVIII, FFIX had one of the BEST visuals on PS1.
FFX, FFX-2, FFXII had one of the BEST visuals on PS2.
FFVII:CC, FF:Dissidia had one of the BEST visuals on PSP.

FFXIII is developed for PS3, and was developed with having ONLY PS3 in mind. Kitase(producer) even didn`t know, that FFXIII will be also released on x360.

GOOD games should sell a lot, but in reality not all good games sell a lot, Ico and SotC are good examples of that. But this doesn`t make these games worse.
For me, the game can sell ONE copy, as long as that ONE copy is mine. =))

What the reason for x360 to sell 5k or less? Oh, it`s just DEAD in Japan. =)
And don`t expect PS3 to get at 10k very soon, in few week japanese will get FFXIII demo bundle, then KZ2, and later DW6.
Also, PS3 is definitely getting a pricecut this year in Japan, after that don`t expect to see PS3 at 10k for a long, long time. =)

Everything depens on experience, that you get through the game.
But, yes some of games should cost less. YET, there are a lot of single player games, which definitely worth all those 60$, those are really GREAT games.
BUT who decides? YOU, as a gamer. You decide, if that single experience worth for you those 60$ or no. If it worth you buy the game, if not you rent or don`t buy the game(or wait...

About VG numbers, they are always ESTIMATES, and NOT real numbers. So, don`t take their numbers seriously.
Only their JAPAN numbers have some right to exist, since they use media create, famitsu and dengeki as sources, and not the...

Anyway, PES, FiFa, SF4, RE5 and GTA4 sales are in PS3 favour, even though x360 has a bigger install base(has it?) for now.
You can expect more and more games to sell better on PS3 in future, it`s inevitable.

I have only one world for them - BELIEVE!
Not only SF4 and RE5 sold better on PS3, not only GT4 sold 50/50 on both consoles, BUT:
1) FFXIII is exclusive in Japan.
2) It will be on 1 blu-ray disc, ant this time this is really an ADVANTAGE, which PS3 didn`t have with RE5 or GTA4.
3) Not to mention, that FFXIII was developed special for PS3, and if square want the game to be running on x360, you can expect x360 v...
And the game is not even 1 years old yet.
It might become best selling MGS game to date.
Though, you never know, what Kojima will show on may 18th, if it some kind of MGS4 version.. then even in this case, MGS4 will make over 5 mln. copies. =)
