Yes, but the less of a profit 3rd party developers make on a console, the less likely they are to release quality games on that console.

That's where it could hurt Sony's pockets.

Yeah well, this is a serious issue.

With no games, I can still watch videos or do something else on the system until games come out.

What can I do with no system? Wait for another one to come? Is that the experience we were promised?

I have all 3 systems and as gaming machines, support them all. But there is only one system I have, or have ever had, that I am actually afraid to touch. That shouldn't be. So I am pissed.

But I'm not so ...

Can you think of any other electronic good that wouldn't have been recalled by now?

6683d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

It's a well established fact, but people are buying it anyway. That's why we continue to see RRoD articles.

Until people stop buying and we FORCE them to correct the problem, it's not gonna stop. Why would it?

Well, as long as people keep buying broken boxes, they'll keep selling them.

But what about the next generation? If they still continue to make a killing off of broken boxes, then what incentive is there for ANY of the big 3 companies to ensure quality next gen hardware???

IMHO, don't buy broken boxes and don't trade broken boxes in for new broken boxes. Wait for them to get their act together first.

If I'm not mistaken, this HD-VMD has been out for a while, so I don't see TOO much concern.

I don't know about Europe, Bollywood and Asian market releases, but as far as the Hollywood releases in other countries, will they all be bootleg??? I don't see too many Hollywood studios supporting another competing format any time soon.

16%, 33%, 60 - 70%, who cares. Anything over 5% failure is way too much for ANY electronic good. Yet people still buy, knowing that they may be getting something broken.

Oh how gamers love Russian Roulette!

Trust me, the problem would have quickly been fixed a year ago if people had just stopped buying the broken hardware like they would have any other product. I mean really, have you ever seen this phenomenon happen with ANY other electronic good?

I don't see the point of visually comparing GTA with ANY game. Since when has GTA EVER been about the graphics?

Visually, I think it was only meant to be seen as a next generation GTA game. Not a benchmark of next gen graphics.

A more worthy comparison (even better than those retarded PS3 / X360 comparisons) would be to compare CoD4 with some of the newer, similarly themed war shooters. Even the Japanese Pro Yakyuu Spirits 4 vs. MLB 08 would be a more worthy com...

#5 button placement mixed with #7 design.

They both had the same basic design, but #7's just looked like the more advanced, Sony-sexy style of design. Although probably the most practical, I doubt Sony would EVER design something that looked like #3, or just about any of the others for that matter. (I'm NOT talking about art ability btw).

I personally don't think that Sony's final design is going to be too far off from the current PSP. When Sony is satisfied with the ...

It was posted a LONG time ago. I think b4 the PS3 was released. I've already seen the video, but for a moment there I thought the topic was going to be about improving the technology in the PS3.

But honestly, I didn't bother to watch the video because I could care less about the technology that is already inside the box. No matter how amazing that technology is (and I do think it is amazing, to say the least), what matters is how the games are that come out on the system.

Actually this concern has been brought up repeatedly about Home almost as soon as the concept was announced. Directly to Sony. I would be very surprised if they didn't have some kind of safeguard woven into Home from nearly the beginning.

If you're still concerned that some safeguard might not be included, why not contact Sony about the problem. Unlike Live, Home is not quite out yet. Writing your concern to Sony would do us a whole hell of a lot better than complaining about ...

please shut up!

The kid put a lot of heart and effort into that. There's NO way that was half-assed. Never mind the limited time he had for doing it as a class project, not everyone is a gifted artist or wood worker like I'm guessing you must be.

So let's see the picture of the Heavenly Sword that YOU made.

Yeah, well I hope the game has better music. Whoever thought that NES techno beat music was perfect for this game needs to be drug out into the street and shot!

I was all set to download the video until it started playing (-_-;)

But I gotta say, the game looks sick!

Um, hello...

A terabyte is a whole hell of a lot more than 125GB. I think there's supposed to be a "0" in that baby somewhere. So let's see...if they're talking about 1TB (1000GB) per square inch, then I think you guys are undershooting your imagination a bit.

When was the last time you saw a 1 square inch hard drive (@_@)???

I agree with you there. People paid a lot of money for these things. I paid a lot of money for mine too. Except the problem with that way of thinking is that even though Microsoft will replace your broken unit with another broken unit free of charge, what they probably fail to mention is that you'll probably buy some new games for your brand new broken unit.

That’s why if mine breaks, I’m not gonna replace it until the problem is fixed.

I’m not bending over ...
