Praise the Sun!
My list... and as you said malokevi, way more then could play in a year...
1. Dark Souls 2
2. The Division
3. Titanfall
4. The Witcher 3
5. Deep Down
6. TombRaider PS4 (didn't play the PS3 version)
the remaining 4 probably won't get any play time until 2015, partly because of release time, but mainly because of the sheer amount of hours involved in playing the other 6...especially Dark Souls 2, if my current hou...
I'm mostly looking forward to Dark Souls 2...nice list, I enjoyed this quote about the Soul's games...
"Although, It’s not as much unforgiving as it is demanding; each game in the series is like a chess board, and every move you make must be carefully thought out lest you find yourself checkmated".
That's exactly how I see them.
I admit, I am a sucker for anything Dark Souls these days, can't get enough...but... that was bad.
It's the one I'm most looking forward to.
Put it this way...if at the end of 2014, there is a game I have logged more hours in... I would be surprised.
Aside from that, there are so many titles that are coming, I have a hard time seeing being able to fit them all in. I see some leftovers from 2014 in my 2015.
Thanks article... just pre-ordered my collectors Dark Souls 2.
I'm looking forward to a lot of titles in 2014, but this one is on top... funny it's a "last gen" title. :)
I've only discovered Dark Souls in the last month and am pretty sure it will keep me busy until 2 comes out. If not, I have Demon's Souls there waiting as well(I picked up once I realized my love for Dark Souls).
Soul's games aside, I don't ...
Nice list, but the title I'm looking forward to most is Dark Souls 2.
Stoked!!!
Tomb Raider for PS4 (I didn't play it at all on PS3)
The Division
Watchdogs
Quantum Break
Titanfall
Deep Down
The Witcher 3
These are bunched together, about the same level of want for me.
So many other titles though as well, 2014 is gonna be fun , game wise at the least.
I already own Infinate, but I will be getting Brothers and Don't Starve for sure.
I'm amazed at the value they give for the buck, and the fact you can get your library back when you return to + if you leave for a while, is cool as well.
Seems to be an improved online experience from what I've heard(PS4 compared to PS3). I can't compare personally, but I've been having fun with it. It's better then having no sub that's for sure.
Remember who's developing Dark... also, so many people will be putting thousands of hours into the PS3/360/PC versions.
That aside, I wouldn't be shocked to see it come out for PS4. Maybe a little surprised, but far from shocked.
Being such a fan, I would probably pick it up. Hopefully though we could just upgrade if we own the original(ala AC4)... if it even happens.
I'm just happy Dark Souls 2 is getting closer.
@ ExPresident & nutcase13
I dunno if I would have worded it as blackblades did, but the PS3's will be a valid console for at least another 2 years.
Seeing as the PS4's are not backwards compatible, then the lifespan is indefinate for the PS3's really. The 2 years though, there will be games still being made for only for those consoles(although they may be ported to PS4 later).
For example, Dark Souls 2, which is maybe my most ...

my biggest concern when it comes to Deep Down. Everything is pointing to an excellent experience except...
Free to Play is making me wonder about those possibly pesky or game breaking MT's.
Fingers crossed!!!
ps... I only got Dark Souls about 10 days ago, and Demon Souls 3 days ago.
I'm playing the heck out of Demon Souls now after ringing the first bell in Dark Souls. I'm officially hooked on these games.
Still haven't done much PvPing in it though. Only been invaded once in Dark Souls in about 35 hours(but you have to be Human) as opposed to being invaded for my first time last night in Demons(after about 10-12 hours)... you also have to be human.
I'm finding Demons to be the harder to start in, but I'm moving along a bit better now,...
I see it as well. I started on PS3, but upgraded AC4 when I got my PS4. There is a difference to be sure.
Strange thing... have you gotten the DLC "Freedom Cry" yet?
It doesn't feel as "next gen" as the actual game, especially the ocean and the weather effects... reminds me more of the PS3 Version.
If you have it do you notice this as well?
I wanted to see a new pirate IP for the longest time, as I love the genre.
I understand what you are saying, and agree actually... but now that it is out. I'm happy it is.
That being said, if Ubisoft would have started a new Pirate IP, chances are I would have gotten that instead of a non pirate Assassins game, as AC3 was a disappointment to me.
I would have waited until I knew more about the AC game.... but when I saw that the new AC ga...
@-Foxtrot
I think people were probably disagreeing with the part about a character they give a crap about.
AC4 is a Pirate Game, more then an Assassins game. To me anyway.
It is the best Pirate game as far as I'm concerned. I'm happy they made it.
@ extermin8or
It is. Kenway rocks, but don't forget being able to use Adewale in "Freedom Cry". That's two cool "main characters" from the same title.
I would like to see it on the PS4... yet I will get it on PS3 anyway.
If I keep my XONE, then I'm sure to be getting Titanfall as well.
As Dark Souls 2 is now my most anticipated title, having not played Tomb Raider on PS3... I think I will have to get it for PS4... it is the only title I will be getting(depending on where I'm at with the Soul series) before March 11th 2014...Dark Souls 2...oh yeah!!!
I laugh at myself(and feel free to laugh at me too if you wish), that after getting a PS4 & XONE, I found Dark Souls and now a PS3 title is my most anticipated... don;t get me wrong...there are a lot of ...
I can...not...wait...much...long er...
But I will!!!
So stoked for this game.
As a newcomer to Dark Souls, I have owned the game for almost 5 weeks, one of the things I am looking forward to most... being a part of the game from day one.
I already have my collectors edition ordered.
The feeling towards this game that most resembles feelings from my past, goes way back into my youth.
