From the information I have gathered, Heavy Rain seems to be somewhat of an interactive movie. To me, that seems like a huge risk.
The only complaint anybody (read: fanboys) had about MGS4 was that it was "more of a movie than a game"
Once you compare it to all of the other "news" on this site, you'll come to the conclusion that yes, yes it does.

But I get your point; since ND made Crash and Sony owns ND, then I guess people assume that Sony owns the Crash IP.
I think that MGS4 has sold the most units out of all of the PS exclusives this gen, so that has to count for something.

There's a reason M-rated games don't sell on Nintendo platforms, and that's the same reason why this game probably won't sell on the 360.
360 has more games, PS3 has better ones IMO But it's a close race.
