720p is a fixed resolution. The larger the screen the more that resolution has to fit. sitting the same reletive distance away from the screen should negate this problem though.
For example
Sitting 3ft away from a screen the size of a stamp and sitting 3ft away from a screen the size of football field will both yield negative results, one image would be too small and the other would be too large. Both 720p.

The thing with the Shadow the Hedgehog example though, is that if you changed Shadow into a man running around, people could still make the comparision between that game and sonic because the gameplay style isnt too much different.

People hate camping because they suck at video games and obviously aren't playing to win.
If the campers are beating you then they are technically better than you at the game. As all the game knows is kills and deaths.
If you are killing the campers then what is the problem? Easy kills from people who sit in the same place.
Number 1 is well deserved. that game looks great scaled upto 1080p and has aged better than any game of that generation (I.M.O.)

Using x11 with the ps3 is nothing but trouble. I like to have the game sound coming out of the headset, and obviously I would like to have the microphone used as the microphone.

Has GT5 had any DLC yet? All I have seen is updates/patches.
You dont, borderlands guns are randomly generated, the DLC had a handful of unique weapons, and bar the pearl guns there was nothing really in it which I would call "Buying DLC to get guns".
If you play the game enough you wouldn't need them anyway.
