Anyway, the new controller looks nice. Looks more comfortable and I'm digging the light on the front to identify different controllers. I do wonder if that will offer some Move-like input.
They will at E3. They didn't have to show the console. They did their job. They got everybody excited and showed off games and features, even the specs. 8GB of GDDR5 RAM is awesome!!!

Sony is being super smart this time and getting the jump on announcing their next console. It's gonna be just like the Vita conference 2 years ago where they showed off the basics, but no price point. They might give off the specs, though.
Sales don't matter if the game is fun. Sure it'll sell more than PS All Stars Battle Royale but that doesn't matter to me. I'm a gamer. I play games. I can't possibly play sales. Until I can, I won't worry about them. As LNG as a game sells enough to make the dev a profit, that's all that matters, really.

The problem is that you're ignoring PS+ revenue that Sony is taking in. I don't think Netzero had a PS+ equivalent.
They will launch at around $350 and $450 for the two models. That's my guess.
I don't know about anyone else here, but I'm just flat out not interested nor have the room or right set-up for this kind of tech. I'll pass on using it. I don't care if the PS4 and the 720 have it, I'm not interested myself. I'm looking forward to more 1080p native games and in seeing 4K video content on the PS4 and most likely the 720 as well.
I wish they'd release a new one every two years instead of yearly releases. I know the games' developers take turns, Treyarch, IW, Treyarch, IW. BUT, I still would rather they release one every two years, so that our map packs we buy aren't rendered void for the new game that comes out the following year. We'd at least have two years of time to enjoy them.
I wish one CoD game would release for the PS4/720 at launch. Then release annual single play...
Xbox Infinity sounds pretty damn cool, I admit. I hope the PS4 is called just that, PS4. Just because in Japan 4 is an unlucky number, doesn't mean they won't name it that.
I actually don't care too much what they NAME these new consoles. I want to see the games and services!!!!
They announced the Vita at a special event in Feb. 2011. So, they could very well do so for the PS4/Orbis/Omni. Then show more off at GDC and then a blowout at E3. Then a launch in the Fall.

The PS4 will have at least one model around $350-400. The big boy model might be around $500, but I highly doubt it. I'd say Sony will be shooting for a $300-350 base model and a $350-400 higher-end model.

Actually, man. You're wrong. There IS a sequel coming. Not joking. Look it up. But yeah, it's a fantastic game!! I loved it. I actually enjoyed racing in that more than any other game (even GT5). The drifting was awesome! So addictive. I bought it but ended up trading it in later and I still regret trading it, but still have the demo to play now and again.

As far as RAM goes, I don't see MS doing more than 8gb gddr5. Anymore than that would be pretty pricey.
