Point being made, MS will have bigger swings, but it is significantly less impacted by gaming than Sony. This is not an argument who the console leader is, that is obvious, but if I were investing, it would not be in in Sony Right now.
Spoken like someone who has no clue how business works. One TV Series, not counting twisted metal, and gaming are not Sony's only problem. Sony is the market leader and I don't see that changing anytime soon. They are downgrading sales numbers for PS5. Even though it is heads above the competition, gaming is moving more and more mobile, revenues don't lie. Sony is a lot more than just gaming, they are involved in so many more industries.

My last 3 games on Xbox have been digital Downloads (AC Mirage, RE4 and Dead Space remake.) I have no interest in collecting physical copies anymore. It's why not just Xbox, but Sony offers a digital only unit. Sony Defense Force can say "xbox sucks" etc. At the end of the day, just like, CDs, Blu-Rays, games will be going all Digital. Companies make more money that way because they don't have to worry about the costs associated with physical distribution.
Since GoT "Bend the Knee" is taken...will go back a bit to quote Alien... "Game Over Man" for the Activision deal. MS is still in a distant 2nd to Sony, don't see that changing anytime soon, but should help MS fill its coffers with $$$ to invest more in gaming, maybe some day start coming out with some of the exclusives they keep talking about ;)

Their plan is geared more towards mobile gaming, that is where the growth is at. Look at Apple and Andriod marketplace, they dwarf the console space.

- They have purchased more video gaming companies that Microsoft, but MS bought some big ones! that have multiples

Understand your point about the rich kid, but who doesn't want competition, do you think gaming will only get better if Sony is the only player. Competition should help keep price in check and make both companies try harder. People are not going to flock to MS because they bought Activision. MS is more concerned with mobile gaming with this acquisition.
I am sure they were financially compensated by Sony, they will do just fine.
I really thought it was a done deal, I take my crow medium well please. It seemed like they found another reason to block it, as it seems more related to MS position in cloud dominance. I think there is more at play, but we shall see.
Do I think it is incredibly stupid, yes. That being said, I have no sympathy for hackers that steals any ones intellectual property to profit off it.
End of the Day, JIm looks like a crybaby not Sony. He is only making it worse for both himself and his company. His whole argument makes it appear Sony is completely innocent, yet they pay off 3rd part for exclusivity both games and content, that is a known fact.
Sony has lost this battle, move one, and keep making great exclusives. 1 Shooter is not going to bankrupt the company, it is a joke.
Have to smile a bit, Sony just sh*t the bed on the AB Deal. The deal is going through, Sony looks like the little boy who cried wolf, and their poor legal maneuvers completely backfired. Now it looks like they will actually get some heat in Japan. I think this will do little to move that market to xbox, but it will be fun to watch the drama continue.

Yet, android has the largest market share vs Apple and competition is driving both companies to innovate. Neither Apple or Android is calling vendors and buying/forcing them out of releasing their products on rival platforms.

Sony shot themselves in the foot when they wanted to classify MS and Sony as Premium Console Market and exclude Nintendo. That shows that in Japan they have a 98% share and a Monopoly. Now they are being called out on it LOL. That and they make it a practice to pay 3rd party not to release on Xbox. How is that behavior support a competitive marketplace. Clue... it doesn't. They are losing the battle for the Activision and now face more scrutiny.

I had to LOL I was thinking how long would it take the Sony fanboy to bash MS on very positive news on Sony...the answer, less time then it took for me to write this message.
In development is general and we have no idea how far. That being said, MS made no commitment to offer all Bethesda games on Sony. It has no relevance to ABK as it happened well before ABK. Apparetly SullyCigar knows how much they spent, so ask him lol
