Sony will make 4k machine and will sell it like a 4k machine, something that Microsoft is already doing with the X. So the question here is how will Microsoft try to sell their next machine????
If a 6 teraflop can do 4k in many games, its clear that the PS5 in late 2019 or early 2020 will do 4k without problems and should be targeting 60 frames after the experience they got with the PRO.

its easy to say that. Its harder to swallow the reality. Why a new console isnt getting any of the big 3rd party games coming out this holidays, even after selling million and being number one on the NPD in many months.
Are you crazy? The Xbox One was launched at 2013 we are almost on holidays of 2017! Do the math.
If Microsoft ditched the idea that the X is a upgrade from the Xbox one and went full steam ahead with the start of the next gen, because the X is a 4k machine, i think they would only gain ground on Sony.
Going for a upgrade almost five years after the launch of the Xbox One and at 499 is just to hard to sell for the casual gamer a year after the S. The millions that last year bought the S are selling it for the X????

it will be very hard, because the first one is a masterpiece on the PS3. What ND did with the Hardware of the PS3 is just amazing. They also create a very good story and was one of those special games that i didnt wanted to finish.
The bar is set very high for ND, but they are one off the few that maybe can do it.
It very hard to put huge 3rd party games on the switch, because of the hardware. Nothing more. They have huge sales, but the lack of power make it harder. Just that.
Because they are selling millions of consoles and all studios want to make more and more money. Making cartony or cel shaded games is much less demanding then the rest of games

In term of tech, i think the biggest question is the CPU. GPU wise is very easy, there are tons of choices from AMD and very powerfull
This gen the main problem is the CPU, the crappy jag that got problems even to reach locked 30 frames.
Lets see if they can use somekind of rysen CPU, because DF already show that they are 200 to 300% more powerfull then the jags. I think its a crazy evolution and very important to reach not 30 frames but 60 frames.

This answer is what any gamer will say. Power is very important and going from one generation to another gamers are all over that, but 4 or 5 years later, what gamers want first is GAMES.
The X could be THE BOMB, if Microsoft was able to sell it at 349, in other words very cheap and very powerfull.

Dude, the game is for 18+, there is a market for games for mature players and not for kids. Videogaming is not only for 9 years olds. Not everybody wants cartony, colourfull games with rainbows.
