I agree with the author. The X can play the games of the One and it would be much easier in terms of selling it and marketing. The console cost now 499, next year by this time it could be 399 or 449.

i dont understand why hardcore gamers are acting like kids. Dynamic 4k isnt native 4k. The PRO could never be a 4k machine with 4.2 teraflops and a JAG cpu.
Does it have some 4k games, yes, but does it have the power for native 4k gaming on big titles? Hell no. Its a upgrade for gamers that have 4k tv and like to play games. Its better then the standard model.
Go read the interview of Mark Cerny where he told people that for native 4k gaming on consoles...

The Xbox One vs PS4 comparison was made because both target 1080p gaming and one console was more expensive then the other. But the cheaper console was getting much more times to 1080p rez.
What would be news and all could go crazy was if the PRO cost 499 and didnt do 4k and the X was 399 and was doing 4k in many more games!!!!!
Call of Duty returns to the European Theatre in stunning 4K. Its not 4k. Reviewers should be more carefull when talking about stuff that they dont know. The only native 4k version is on PC Gaming.
And gamers really dont care about that. This game is breaking sales on the PS4 standard model. Digital and box wise. And i have no doubt that is selling tons on the Xbox One also.
The PRO and X are mid gen consoles with low impact on sales, they are for a small portion of gamers.

Its not the X that need something. Microsoft wants to sell software from the 30 millons Xbox One in the world. Its from there the money is coming and not from something with 1 million players.
The 30 millions players out there are the main target and those are the ones that Microsoft should take care first.

Sony and Nintendo show this year that exclusive games are crucial for the sucess of a machine. Even a machine with the power of 0.5 teraflops can get much more sales then the combined sales of 1.13 and another 6 teraflops.

People would buy it at 500 because of the huge sucess of the PS4 and the name of Sony, but Sony will not make a console more expensive then 399. For them thats the max price.
In a couple of years, 399 will be more then enough for a APU with some kind of Rysen + Vega combination with 3x times the power of the Pro and more ram.
And AMD should provide the best they can because of the sucess of the PS4.
