The best time to buy the Switch will be on the black friday, where even without the drops you find on Sony and Microsoft, it will be cheaper then the high price on launch, could get also a game free or more, gamepad cheaper and so on.
At launch is just a rip off the amount of money you need to spend to buy the machine and ONE game. Dont even think on buying the gamepad, because it can get to 500...
More, the price of the online service will be already out...
Zelda killer. Nope. Two kinds of totally diferente RPG. One is a cartony world, funny and lovely and another is a real post war world were machines are on top, where you fight for your life againts small and huge dinobot. Where you need to discover the proper way to win or you will die.

Its true that we dont know how well the online service will work and is underpowered (for home console) and expensive, but for a portable machine it will sell tons of games and it got Zelda at launch.
Its too soon to talk about failure, because the wii U sold well in the first year, but the lack of COD, Assasin Creed, Mass effect, GTA and all big 3rd party games was a huge problem.
Well the first game of Microsoft is a RTS Halo... and next game is in june or July????, like the president, its huge, its amazing, its fantastic.

The mystery will be what new games will sony bring. Microsoft will go power, 4k , power , 4k, clip of forza, halo, gears, most powerfull console speach, dlc from 3rd party, crackdown and sea of thieves, ori 2, 4k, power,4k power and some cgi trailers
I would wait until black friday to buy the switch to get a better deal and more games and to see what will they do with the online service.
If you got money to spend then buy the Switch at launch.
If you only have money to one console, then is the PS4, without any doubt.

If sony could reach 4k native on every game on a console launched on 2016 it would be a miracle for 399.
The only way was if the console cost 899 or 999.... Even right know to reach 4k60 frames you need alot of money.
For 399 and in somes cases you can get even lower, the PRO got an amazing price and the average gamer can buy it.
Sony was smart and everybody knows that this price is the ONE.
Later this year they gonna cut the price of both PS4 and Pro and they gonna sell more tons of consoles and break stock.
I dont want to imagine the bundles they can make this year for the holidays...
What is amazing arent just the sales, but the amount of exclusives that sony is launching. New i.p. after new i.p, beside the heavy triple AAA Franchises that will come out.
The amount games that we are getting its amazing. Beside the multiplatform, if you buy just one exclusive each month, there arent months enough.... I think 2017 will be a golden year for Sony.
