The answer is easy. They have nothing more to hold on!!!!! They think that between power and being able to play games like HZD, Persona 5, Nioh, Gravity Rush 2, NieR on a much cheaper console the average gamer will chose Scorpio to play Forza at 4k60 frames.

Microsoft cant ask more then 499 for the machine. Sorry, but there isnt nothing cutting edge there.
I would go even lower to 449 price wise.
In terms of games, maybe in late 2018 with the next Halo and Gears. They can showcase. 3rd party. Sorry but the diference wont be that big.
Its a good machine and it will sell well if the price is good, but it wont affect Sony, because the Pro is not the biggest seller, but the original system the PS4.
On the launch month it will could sell more then the Xbox One, but later the Xbox One will sell more. That what is the reality.
The cheaper console will sell more then the expensive, because casuals will chose the cheaper model.
It wont beat even the switch, much less the PS4.

A 6 teraflops machine wont be never a huge leap in late 2017. Even the GPU it only 40 compute units against the 36 on the PS4. What they did more was insane overclocked for a console. Something that i think is very cool.
The cooling system of this machine is INSANE.
Is the scorpio stronger then the Pro, of course it is. But just that. The reality and not the perfect world is between 15 and 30%. Its good.

Its not a huge leap with a jag cpu. The most powefull title comes when both consoles are launch in th e same year. Only nintendo builds underpowered console.
Since last year we know that the scorpio was more powefull because its lanched in late 2017. What they dont tell is the price and i dont know why because they are using a jag cpu and 480 overclocked. I think it cant be more then 499 and thats not a crazy price

Even after a studio saying the reallity some gamer dont want to listen. Forza runs at 1080 60 frames on the one but its racing game with faked lighting no real weather and so on. Of course it will run at 4k 60 on the scorpio. But no away is the scorpio a beast with 4k 60 frames ultra settings machine with a jag CPU.

Because its not a beast of console. When Microsoft come out with the word beast 18 months before launch you would expect that.
The reality its a overclocked PRO and the slight power advantage you are talking between the PS4 and the Xbox One is equal or maybe smaller then the diference between the the PRO and the Scorpio.

Well, that you much wait for E3, because Microsoft should have new games there. But i know people here think that Forza 7 4k/60 frames will mean that game will sell 10 millions and not 2 or 3 millions like usual.

The 45% more powerfull is on paper. Its a good «weapon» for PR use and marketing.

What this means is that the price of this console must be much lower that i though (549/599). Now i really believe they will go with the 499 price tag.
But again after almost one year of hype i really thought the power diference with the PRO would be much bigger.

I did, they use some kind of DX12... the ESRam on the One can also reach 200gb bandwitch and was amazing, but how many studios were able to use it???? or try to use it.?
The bottom line is that people when people talk about beast!!!! Were expection somekind of rysen CPU. Something new and not the same tech with improvments and overclocking.
Even the GPU. The mais diference was the overclocking done to 1172, because the compute are almost the same.
Dude, even he talks about the CPU. Did you see the vídeo from DF. CPU was always the main problem. Its the same jaguar overclocked. Like the pro.

I agree. I thougth it would be the next gen console with somekind of Rysen CPU e and Vega GPU, but Microsoft didnt went that away.
It would cost to much Money to use cutting edge tech and it would be very hard to sell.
