Because prople that dont want them can't turn them off on 360 or ps3, sure both consoles let you turn off ALL notifications, but you can't just turn off only trophy notifications.

Plenty of pc gamers also have consoles, why is that surprising?

4644d ago 6 agree3 disagreeView comment

Yes but it's sad the fastest next gen console only has a 1.8TF GPU, a $160 graphics card has that, barely mid range for today

What are you hiding Sony?

4644d ago 7 agree6 disagreeView comment

Breaking news, Sony exclusives are not coming to PC, and Nintendo exclusives are not coming to ps4

Lol that's all it costs for CPU and GPU? Low end pc confirmed

Sony already said it can be up to the publisher to implement online activation, there obviously is a mechanism

Console makers don't want want BC because the hardware will be more expensive

Game publishers don't want BC because they can sell you old games on the new system again

What I don't understand is why gamers tolerate this. Imagine buying a new pc/phone/tablet and your old games and app won't work. But hey just keep all your pc/phone/tablet to run your old games and apps!

I know they are using different architectures, but it...

Played on pc as well, there was one dlc quest that I believe give you the wrong coordinate on the map, other than that I don't recall other bugs

4645d ago 5 agree0 disagreeView comment

People that like games like Fallout 3 and Skyrim can tolerate these bugs, because what other companies are making games as complex as they are with hundreds of quests, NPCs and locations and give you compete freedom what you want to do?

You want Bethesda to make a linear corridor shooter? Why would somple games like that have bugs?

Very true, GDDR5 is just DDR3 plus a prefetch buffer, wouldn't xbone's DDR3 plus ESRAM be very similar in performance? Buy yeah lol it's not like most people on here know what that all means

Because couple months ago, the main concern was the Sony patent that uses RFID to block used games, nobody thought of that they can allow used games but charge a fee/online activation until the ms reveal. All these quotes you mention leaves the possibility of restricting used games via online activation, the Yoshida interview already said it can be up to the publisher.

What if all ps4 games require online activation?

4646d ago 1 agree4 disagreeView comment

Yep should have just said it "can play used games" and "can go offline" and leave it at that just like Sony, leave out the details

4646d ago 7 agree10 disagreeView comment

Why would they change when it's the best selling game every year? Until gamers vote with their wallet, it will never change much

4646d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

You tell me how can it be "up to the publisher" to implement online activation if ps4 never has to be online.

One way it could work is that games can require online activation and that is "up to the publisher". And if most ps4 do this, it's a moot point ps4 requires online or not, because technically the console doesn't require online, the games do
