I remember reading that they said the game has been in development since 07 or something... hmm

nothing but respect for Remedy. We don't know the details of the dev schedule and what happened in the years since they began work on the project.

about Gears2 and Fable2

Yeah, you're right man, not a single one.

Not a single game is on Xbox360 that you can't play anywhere else. Good job on that one, you're obviously a champion that has far too much on his plate to be hanging around here.

Feels like theyre finally getting it right after the floaty physics and sketchy animations in Skate2 that led to me avoiding a purchase. I loved the hell out of Skate, still play it.. and this looks like it will earn my dollars, given what I played in the demo.

I just wish they had an even more hardcore mode, as the physics were still a little light on the hard mode. Definitely not bad, but it would be nice to take it further still.

Metacritic has it at an 84.

"shows how limited 360 in delivering a game that can be classified next-gen experience"

So if they released it on PC as was originally planned, it would have been next-gen?
I don't even have to look at your avatar to see how bad you are at trolling.

give me a break. troll somewhere else.

just to reiterate: terrible troll, find another bridge.

it is a massive pain to port games running UE3 onto ps3 well. We have seen it time and time again.

Built on UNREAL ENGINE 3, which many of the ps3 fanboys around here admittedly HATE (with some valid reasons) I doubt there would be much improvement if any.

Are there any games that were ported to PS3 WELL using UE3? I'm actually asking

How many times they went back to the drawing board in those 5 years, or who made the call to do so. The game may only have had 2 years or so actual dev time. We really just dont have access to a lot of this kind of info so we can only make broad assumptions.

It's score is near the likes of Heavy Rain. They can't both be great?

Just because it had a lot of fanboy hype is no reason to hate on Remedy for making a great game

the game is a third person shooter.

I still think it's a little too unrealistic. I'd love a "super hardcore mode" for people who actually know what they're doing. Hardcore is a breeze in the demo. Not much you cant land.

This dude is wrong 90% of the time and we still take his word as law? Terrible.

As much as I love XBL (and I do) I really want PSN to remain free. It is a main feature point in the competition. As an owner of both 360 and PS3, I wouldn't want to pay for TWO services and more than anything else, I want the two system to stay VERY close in competition. Any edge that helps PSN gain popularity is what I wish to keep.

If one system ended up crushing the other,...

service like PSN or XBL so that you know all of the cost involved in every aspect of operation; infrastructure and staffing and all.

We, as consumers, are not privy to a LOT of information.

If you can't see the differences, I don't know what to tell ya, the lighting system is COMPLETELY revamped. That alone is a massive difference. There is also just under a year left of dev time.
