Sony has purposely slowed the arrival of DLNA and MP3/MP4/AVI support in order to aid it's struggling video streaming services.
I love my playstation and play on it all the time, but I will never give into fanboys and rabid N4Gers who say nothing is wrong. It has been over a year.
The lack of Local Media Playback is UNEXCUSABLE.
The hardware is PC-format, not super difficult to code for like the PS3...

I felt the same way, and thought about it at length. Here's what I got: The AUDIENCE should not exist.
Think about it...theoretically, the only people who would WANT a movie are those who are not gamers(but who heard about the awesome) or those who are not good ENOUGH gamers to have gone through the story, but want to be able to experience the same things as if they HAD.
But it is impossible for either group to be sated, because the essence of the awesome...
Tried to get my sister to watch "The Wind Rises" with me the other day, but she wouldn't. She took one look at the visual style and made the assumption that it was part of this crowd, like everyone else who makes generalizations like that.

Yeah, I too miss the gritty, depressing art of the earlier ones. It was masterful in its delivery of moody battlescapes. Killzone 2 actually had more of a Great War vibe than a Sci-Fi or WW2 mood.
