I spoke to my friend yesterday who told me he just picked up a 360 "slim".
I asked "what happened did your 360 break?" "no I've just had it for 3 years". Makes no sense to me as I have one working 360 and two working fat PS3s so I won't buy either of these anytime soon. I have a feeling alot of these 360 "slim" sales are from people who think just like he does.

no Im thinking BK wants a videogame presence (it's their right to advertise how they want) and told MS NO VIOLENCE IN OUR GAMES = INSTANT LAME but you can't blame them.
good for MS but I think they have to be careful with the game lineup as people are already savvy to the amount of shovelware that was released on the Wii. If people start seeing more of the same, Natals sucess might be short-lived.

lol this is why I usually ignore 360 articles, full of butthurt fanboys who disagree for no reason. Seems kinda odd that they want to go the digital distribution model and aren't laying the infrastructure in place by selling the biggest HDDs possible at the time. Then again with MS a 500GB HDD will run you about as much as an arcade 360 and a 1TB about as much as premium 360. Go ahead and disagree with that.
@soxfan my 500GB PS3 says hi. Soon upgrading to 1TB. Kinda sucks that MS feels they need so much control over the hardware that you will NEVER be current with the market and always playing catchup to what the competition has. It's kinda like buying from one of those catalogs from finger hut where the 360 still costs you $400 when you can go to best buy and get it at a much cheaper price and don't have to wait for shipping.

everything you said is on point up to the part where you said casuals would save them. I think there will be initial buzz, they'll sell about 3-4mil units until word spreads of the limited gameplay options this technology provides.
