Thats why i opted for the xbox one version. I am only running a 970 and was skeptical about how long they have had to work on the pc version. I had a suspicion it wouldn't run will at launch. You will probably be better waiting for an update which should hopefully come in the near future to help improve the pc version.

It reminded me a lot of quake and unreal, more than it did doom.

I hit someone twice with a shot gun close range. Then they shot me with a rifle and i died. They need to fix the shotgun.

@kane22 you should probably check my previous comments. I enjoyed the order. One difference between the 2 though is that the order was even shorter than quantum break from what i understand. But i liked the order, it was just too short.

As for my verdict on quantum break, i will form an opinion once i have played it. I never said it should get a pass, i simply think people should at least try it first.

Haters will hate regardless. There will always be those that focus on what they want to see. Because its xbox one some people will be more than happy to just hate it.
Personally i will buy it, try it and then decide.

Technically none of us can agree. It's not yet released and we have yet to play it.

Regarding the critics. None of them agree. Some people love the game 5/5, 4/5 etc. Others hate it with 1/5, 2/5 etc. So even the critics don't agree.

My personal view is play it first then decide.

The order for me was a very good game. The only issue was i felt the ending should have been part 1 of 2 in the game.

So great game for a selective audience from the look of the reviews. Some will love it others will hate it. Can't wait to try it.

I have the pc for it, but i don't think it would suit me. I get motion sick with games like wolfenstein, pretty sure vr will do the same.
I did try it a year ago, it wasn't on a good pc though. I felt sick quickly and the feeling lasted about 20 minutes after i took the headset off. Reminded me of travel sickness i got as a kid.
Its a shame as i would have purchased one otherwise.

The difference is the WiiU never once became relevant. It never really appealed to gamers at any point.
It had some good games, sure, but they were few and far between.

Imagine trying to run uncharted 4 in 4k. You would need a 4-6 tflop card at least.

3637d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Uhd blu ray player and hdmi 2.0 will be added. It would require a gtx 980 ti equivelant for 4k at a minimum. Not happening in a console. Not sure why everyone is assuming sony will release a 4k capable console. If they did it would cost 1000usd minimum.

People need to focus on what is happening this year. The uhd blu ray is the next big home entertainment release, so its obvious sony will add this to the ps4 ( surely it is the obvious choice).

Maybe the nx will contain a pascal gpu...that would be interesting. I have to agree. While i have enjoyed my xbox and ps4 i recently made the move to pc. The reason is this gen seems to be the weakest console upgrade i can remember. People can argue about the ps4/ xbox all they want, but at the end of the day they are both under powered.

That's not to say they don't have good games, but they needed more power thats for sure.

@ nitrus10. They can play 4k streamed movies, but neither have a UHD drive. The first drives are only being released this year, in addition the format was only established late last year. Also both xbox and Ps4 have hdmi 1.4a, not hdmi 2.0. So these are the updates I expect in a new console, HDMI 2.0 and UHD drive. (note current UHD players by Samsung and panasonic retail for $399 upwards).

You might be correct. I did see something hinting at the new pascal GPU's being 8, 10 and 12 tflop cards though. If so that's a big jump in power. But its all speculation at present.

Having said this I don't see the ps4 or 5 being able to comfortably handle 4k for games. The PS5 is most likely going to aim at 1440p. At least that's my prediction.

BTW nice setup.

That's pretty much what I said in my comment below. I see them rolling out a ps4 with uhd blu ray drive later this year. It makes sense for them to compete with Panasonic and Samsung in this way.

I am not opposed to upgradeable consoles in the least. Having said that I don't believe the ps4 could be upgraded to make it 4k capable for games. To run 4k games what power would the gpu require, anywhere between 3-4tflops minimum I presume. I don't see this happening.

What I do think will happen is that they will release a new ps4 with blu ray 4k uhd movie play back. The format has finally been announced and the release of UHD players is just starting. I can see son...

They will set it up in a way that people become dependant on it. Then they will add an xbox live type fee.

This is the one thing that i dont understand regarding the latest xbox statement. They talk about possibly rolling out more frequent consoles to enable increased power. Yet crackdown is supposed to use cloud compute and they talk about cloud compute as future tech. Does that mean they are now admitting cloud compute has big limitations?

I am looking forward to seeing more from this game though.
