The game industry....slowly but surely killing itself.
Clearly you're not a vet because we don't believe we've seen a true SOCOM on the PS3. Confrontation was a nice attempt that fell way short. Nevermind the fact that the mechanics were terrible and it ONLY HAD 7 MAPS (as opposed to S2, which had 22). I was bored of it in a day.
Not sure how you can say SOCOM HD is a waste of time when it would easily sell 2,000,000+ copies. Ico and Sly HD have barely sold 1,000,000 copies (combined)...but clearly they aren't a...
I would pay $100 dollars for a SOCOM1-CA HD Remake...it simply kicks the **** out online shooters today. It's better in every facet. Those who have played it know. Amazing how a game that is 8 years old was years ahead of what is out today. Games today have yet to even implement features that SOCOM did.
This is exactly what happened with SOCOM 4...They tried to change it to appeal to a broader audience (meaning the COD audience) and we all know how that turned out.
We know how this will turn out....
Well that's X amount of Call of Duty's I won't be buying....Unless you get to skateboard throughout the entire game. Or better yet, it's set in the future where we have hoverboards like Marty McFly.
Where's Bubsy? Imagine that annoying little **** being in the game with his own stage. I can still hear the sound of that annoying background music in my head hahah
Still amazes me how this crap got greenlit...
SOCOM HD is just sitting in the corner thinkin "Hi...Me and my 2,000,000+ sales will be here if you need us"
They're not neglecting gamers. They make sure they have the working rotation of Halo, Gears, and Forza.
Of course they're neglecting their gamers....E3 was exhibit A.
Laughed a good laugh when reading the title...I honestly didn't care about it, thought it sucked. You could rock people in the dome and they wouldn't drop. Was way too laggy and just didn't work well.
I'll give you an Agree...because about 70% of N4G is filled with COD lovers, who are blind to how bland the franchise has become.
@Prince
Dude.....MW2 sucks, so saying MW3 is better than MW3 isn't saying much. Both of them were straight run and gun. COD4 atleast had a feel of strategy in it.
Not buying....
I do #1....not because I screw up, but because they straight up suck. We could still be winning and I'll yell at them. I strive for perfection, not just from me...but from my teammates as well.
And I do #8. If someone is being a douche bag (like joining an NHL 12 lobby and not picking a side or quitting when they don't get the position they want (which then leads to everyone quitting)) I let them know.
If they cheat or exploit something, I let them kn...
It's called GTA.
*FACEPALM* This guy needs to GTFO. Sure they'll make AC 10, but by that point they will have 25 different other AC's in there making it more like AC 30.
Killzone needs some fresh blood... Killzone 3 was bland. I would've loved to see Killzone 1 be Killzone 3 (does that make sense haha).
It needs either an Urban, city based story...or a jungle/ desert story. Helghan got boring.
I talk about SOCOM because I don't care about the other games. They are good, no denying it, I've played all of them and we all move on from them (multiplayer shooters)in a few months when the next shooter comes out. The other non-shooter games have also briefly held my attention.
SOCOM was, and always will be one of the greatest online shooters out there. Round based gameplay, no regen health, no BS perks, no BS kill streaks...Just you, your gun, and whatever skill y...
SONY took the first online console shooter and took it from badass, and hardcore, to a garbage COD/ Uncharted wannabe (I love Uncharted...but not with my SOCOM).
They completely abandoned their core and sold out to Duty, now Zipper's closed. Not sure how they can say they are committed to the core, when the completely ignored their original core (in this case).
I just wanna say to the author....Look at the history of the SOCOM series and then get back to me.
I don't give a damn how good your multiplayer looks...I care how fun it is.
