Since multiplatform games will always be worse on the X1, Microsoft needs exclusives, not timed exclusives. Gamers buy consoles essentially for it's exclusives.
It was smart of them to have Tomb Raider exclusive, but not so smart to have it timed exclusive. Timed exclusive Tomb Raider will sell a few consoles, but not so much as if it was a complete exclusive.

Ubisoft are a piece of crap company, specially for PC gamers. There PC ports are horrible. They really should get rid of uplay. If they can't make anything better then uplay, then they should solely use Steam and be done with it.
I agree... and that's the X1 main problem. If Microsoft wants the X1 to succeed, they need to keep X1's exclusives exclusive, and NOT timed exclusive. Who the hell wants to buy a console simply to play timed exclusives?
It will be nearly impossible for the X1 or WiiU to catch the PS4 in sales. PS4 has quite a head start, and at this moment is unstoppable in sales. What remains for Microsoft and Nintendo is to sell the most consoles they can and go for 2nd place in sales... and hope they learned their lessons. I want more competition from Nintendo and Microsoft for the next generation of of home consoles, when they arrive.

It was said Tomb Raider would release on other platforms beside the X1 later on (probably 2016). Remains to be seen what platforms are those.
All depends on the contract Microsoft did with Square. It could be something similar to Titanfall (PC, X360)... or they release it on all other platforms (PC, PS3, PS4, WiiU). Time will tell.

Microsoft should invest in full exclusives, and not timed exclusives. It's full exclusives that sell consoles. What's the point of purchasing a console for timed exclusives.
Microsoft should ignore the haters, as they have already made their choice of a console. Microsoft has to make, or purchase, full exclusives (or at least full console exclusives) so they encourage gamers that still haven't bought a next gen console. That's their target. That's what Son...
No company is perfect. Nintendo, Sony or Microsoft will try to hide some of truth (or alter the truth), if it benefits them. That is to be expected. Only naive people believe everything they say.
The problem with all this debacle are fanboys. Fanboys are blind ignorant moron fools. They will take anything to the extreme. There console manufacturer of choice can do no harm, and other companies are the devil that only hurt the gaming world.

We just saw a couple of hours ago a article presenting Dreamfall as a PS4 console exclusive. That's a mutiplatform series with games already released on the Xbox. What about those xbox fans of the series? They helped build the series. Did we see Sony fanboys bi***ing about Dreamfall PS4 console exclusivity. NO. Dreamfall is not as big as Tomb Raider, but Sony did the exact same thing Microsoft did. So yes, I agree with this article:

Exclusives sell consoles, NOT timed exclusives. Microsoft still hasn't learned this. When I purchase a console I take in account the number of decent exclusives the console will have or has... and not timed exclusives.
If they want to invest, then invest in the hole production of the game and keep it exclusive to their system. Why the hell would I buy a console for timed exclusives?
If they want Tomb Raider to be exclusive, then invest to make it completely exclus...
This is one of those typical situations that if it was Microsoft doing it, they would be the devil incarnate and all hell would break loose... but since it's Sony doing it, then it's OK.

Sony and Nintendo should just release their 1st party games on all platforms and make more money, it won't matter for PS4/WiiU owners, because they will get the game the same on the PS4 (Sony exclusives) WiiU (Nintendo exclusives)....

Well... I'm waiting for a PS4/Infamous pack to reach my city, so I can purchase my first (present gen) console.
The don't need to outsell the PS4, and I think they've already realised it will be difficult to do so. They aiming for a hefty profit in the Xbox division. It has been profitable in the last few years, with the exception of last year (X1 launch). If the xbox division isn't profitable in a year or two, then that's a different story...
