Sony should have snaps some of those talents too, but whatever. Tango Gameworks is going to have some awesome games.
"Pretty soon after, they will announce Gamingless gaming! YOU, are the game!"
You mean like a hunting game? Where you are the game, and Microsoft executives comes after you? Like "The Most Dangerous Game"?
"Kinect is basically Sony's EyeToy with higher resolution tracking cameras..."
"...once you've rearranged your living room... you are the controller, even if you already were with the EyeToy back in 2003."
"That said, it still feel incomplete and frequently crude, with all the promise, but only partial delivery."
"It sometimes loses track of you, or takes more work to select something than it should...
"...it’s disappointing in that controls feel a lot like the Wii, — very vague in its input..."
"..the games require controls with big gestures." Meaning it will never work for "...serious, Call of Duty type of games that require finer, definitive movements."
"...one of my kids walked away in anger (and saying things that would normally get him in trouble) because – over and over – the camera wouldn’t recognize him." <...
even when a game like Dance Central makes the best use of the technology of Kinect, it still only receive an 8 out of 10...
What does that mean? What does that says about the game? What does that says about Kinect?
that on N4G, exclusives games with an 8 out of 10 rating are consider flops.
Awesome article.
"Wierd... some of the complaints, not being able to use the voice command 50% of the time and... Some reviews said that... the video chat worked perfectly... wonder why this is."
It's because Kinect is unreliable. Meaning, it will only work half the time. So, sometimes, it works, and peoples are like, it work perfectly. And then sometimes, for other peoples, it doesn't work, so they're like, d*mn, it doesn't work.
In the end, wha...
Sony's plan to try to find out the leakers.
1. Release misinformation.
2. Find that leaker that release the misinformation.
3. Eat lunch with Ken.
4. Profit.
That's exactly the problem with Kinect.
It doesn't work 99% all the time. It only work 50% of the time. That means that sometimes, Kinect will work for you. But other times, Kinect won't work (like as many others have experienced.)
In other word, Kinect is not reliable at all, unlike Move, which works 99% of the time.
Truthfully, $150 for a device that doesn't work reliably is just not worth it at all.
"...Kung Fu Live uses ingenious skeletal tracking technology to monitor your bodily movements... The result is a game which is both amusing and noticeably ACCURATE..."
Total Badass-ness.
but I prefer Nvidia cards over AMD (ATI) cards.
AMD motherboard with Nvidia cards = Affordable while being powerful enough.
Watch your language dude. We don't want to have to report and ban you.
the PS3 can handle it easily too. Note I said Android and not Google TV. I just want the Android Apps.
So according to Microsoft,
when I move my hand, and it takes Kinect 3 seconds later to copy it, it's actually my fault because...
"if you think about it, the actual human introduces, and forget about USB, the devices, anything like that, the actual human introduces lag."
LOL. WOW. LOL.
So according to Microsoft, Kinect doesn't lag. It's me who's lagging. LMAO!
All I see is an old man punching and kicking.
Shouldn't the camera be focusing on Kinect and the TV screen too? Or is Microsoft is afraid showing the truth about Kinect?
Kinect can scroll through simple menus with no lag. For $150, if it can't even scroll through menus with no lag, then there's no hope for it.
Now, let's see Kinect being used with real games.
That's where the lag alwyas shows up.
Poorly executed. Had it been given to a more talented development team, it would have turned out awesome.
can not deny the awesomeness that is Killzone 3.
you are not the controller anymore. Again, people were telling Microsoft this already. Microsoft just doesn't listen. Look for a wand soon.
