ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, Okami, are examples of masterpieces that didn't sell halo numbers, and are infinitely and beyond better than Halo, Gears of War, or GTA 4.
I would improve only on the stealth part, and actually i would like it to be like MGS4 lol... But that's just me...
Other than that, I thought U2 was perfect, and I just can't imagine how could they improve in 3, but i know i will be blown away.

How can you say AGENT, Halo Reach, and Starhawk could be GOTY if there's nothing about those games, just the title, not even a screenshot or a teaser.. and starhawk is just speculation..

Kilzone 2
inFamous
Batman: AA
Demon's Souls
Uncharted 2
Ratchet and Clank Future: ACIT
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
And those are just the games I like, because I'm sure there are more great games released this year that are not good for my taste but are for others, plus games that haven't been released yet.

If it doesn't have an analogue stick it will probably fail, at least with hardcore games, and could be doomed to just be used with shovel ware

Eyetoy is the one that came out for the PS2
PS Eye is the one for the PS3 and only works for PS3
The problem is that the media seems so in love with MS that they ignore those things, they even go as far as to forget/pretend the eyetoy existed just to praise for Natal. The same with games. remember how Heavenly Sword got smashed in reviews because it was short?, and now with Halo ODST they don't even care if it is actually shorter, and is not a complete game that you have to pay full price?
Also look at the upcoming games, when the media (be it IGN or a blog) they always list...
Comparing Dante's Inferno to God of War is an insult to GOW, come on! I am not saying that Dante's Inferno looks bad or is going to be bad, but GOW is just so EPIC, I mean, this was the game that switched me to PS2, and I hated that console, I used to be an xbox fanboy badly.
You just can't compared them just because if GOW didn't exist, Dante's Inferno wouldn't exist either, It is just a ripoff, even a developer admitted it. (I will find the link, it was an interview)
If it's like Sonic 1 & 2 or Sonic Adventures 2 it will be awesome. As a kid I actually preferred sonic than mario, but obviously I loved both.
I think being a AAA is the combination of several things, not only a big budget; the game has to be good/great, innovative, etc. etc.
I reallo don't know about how Famitsu reviews the games, but I can say is a pretty good score for 3D Dot Heroes, let's see how it gets reviewed here in America.
