I am not tech saavy, but at least they could make 360/PS3 quality graphics? If so, in a portable is amazing.
I want to know more details about the software. They talk about Near, Live, Trophies, etc but they never show it. I would also like to see more about the OS, LiveArea, and how it works, looks, etc.
I also would like to know about the media format and the packaging for games, etc.
I just bought a 3DS, and sadly, I realized it will only be used for Nintendo franchises as every Nintendo console since the N64 I have owned. If only Nintendo was a third party. The only thing great about the 3DS is the 3D, and it make me consider to buy a 3DTV for my PS3. I don't want to play another game in "2D". It looks awesome (if it is well implemented though).
PS Vita on the other hand, seems like a great purchase with great value. The games that are comi...
It looks fun. I am definitely interested in this game.
I guess we will have to wait for PS4 to have new IPs it seems. I think that other than sequels and DLC, we won't get much of what's remaining of PS3 life. Although, 2012 looks great for PS3 (maybe its last year).
OT: I am not sure what to think about this Infamous DLC (new game?). This vampire/zombie stuff is getting really milked too much in games and movies already. Hopefully it is good at least.
Just wondering, what are other interesting games f...
I was wondering, wouldn't it be better to release a console with other media format other than disks. Something like flash cards or something (whatever) that could have faster read and write speeds?
So unlikely. Only Wii U will be launched next year, and it probably will be until Christmas. The earliest Xbox 3 and PS3 could launch is in 2013 and only if they get announced during E3 2012 or before.
Geoff needs to shut the F up and let the other speak!.. Is so annoying that one guy is talking and he always interrupt
The six axis wasn't much of a problem. At least for me they worked. In my opinion, what broke the game was the lack of a radar. It was frustrating not to know where the enemies were. I remember in a level where I was just flying around and not finding any enemy at all; that was because I was like 3 miles away and everybody was behind me.
They implemented the "rage" thing or whatever was called to identify the enemies, but yeah, you actually need to see enemies ...
In Japan it has always been like that. The action button is O while the back button is X.
What is weird, is that friend has a Japanese PS3, and even when playing american games, they are swapped.
So MGS2 and MGS3 get trophies before MGS4... ¬¬
and somehow, for MGS4 was bad. I will never understand the hypocrisy of fanboys.
These kind of games make the scoring system for games inconsistent and flawed. You have AAA games with high budget, excellent presentation, graphics, etc that get a 4/5 or above 9, but you also get these games scoring the same from some reviewers. It might be a lot of fun, i give you that, but how would you rate it with the current system, that takes a lot in consideration.
For me, this review is a good example, that this kind of games, although fun should not be scored mo...
Well, it's certainly disappointing but it was definitely obvious. They want to focus on Final Fantasy XIII-2 since it is coming this year in Japan.
I think they will start to show the game more early next year and it will be their focus for a Winter 2012 release in Japan
Graphics may not be what make Zelda an amazing game, but you saw the demo from E3. It looked amazing. The animations, lighting, textures, everything looked great. Might no have been the best tech, but it was my dream come true to watch a Zelda game with HD graphics.
I actually think that these graphics will allow developers to make it even better, because since Link doesn't talk, it could allow them to make better facial and body expressions for him to express himself. Al...
Actually they would be better getting Nomura, after all, he is the one guy that does almost everything at SE.
It makes me wonder how SE would be without him (at this time, because I know that in the past there were other successful devs in there)
If there is something I hated about Sony this gen, is that the removed feature after feature from the PS3. I know they did it to reduce cost to be able to cut the price, but come on, even the LEDs?? That's going too low
Well, it IS shoddy journalism, because even if the story is true, it should not be published because the game is not announced yet. It is integrity, which almost none of the journalist have, and not just in gaming.
I like 3D in TVs. I was trying out some demos on the store and it looked great. It is just that is is better to have the screen go in, instead of having things to pop out. I saw a demo of some flower petals flying in the air, and it looked like I was watching the window, whereas another demo of some cards popping out, was distracting and blurry.
Yes, you are right about the ports. That happened to the PSP, but I think this time it could be that Vita get games as original as what DS and 3DS have/had. The fact that Vita has the touchpad/touchscreen and six axis, could allow great and original games, but I think it will be Sony's decision to what they actually want on Vita.
We already have one example of an original game: Escape Plan, which will use every feature of Vita, so it will be interesting to see. Maybe mor...
