That's EA's BS shipped numbers PC+360. I look at NPD and it was only there for a month at 600k and then dropped like a rock. It never made the top 20 ever again.
It's just the numbers, not the fanboy BS of red ring, etc. This is Microsoft's official numbers and it shows a 20.7% decrease in 360 sales year over year. Why the disagrees?

Sales decrease (11.1-8.8)/11.1 = 20.7%
So 360 sales are down 20.7% worldwide and yet this is good news?
There's piracy on the 360, just not for online games, so single player games on 360 fail like Batman and Mass Effect 2.
PS3 is the only platform worth it to release a single player game, since it won't be pirated, guaranteed.
Halo wouldn't even sell a million if there was no online in it.
If you're concerned about piracy, just don't bother releasing the game on PC. PS3 is the only 100% piracy proof platform for offline single player games.

Halo and Crysis 2 are coming this holiday season, this one will just eat the dust. Oh and it's a timed exclusive obviously, but I wouldn't care either way as the brilliance of original X-com will never be eclipsed. I wonder if they're going to have aliens that you cannot see shoot you at night like the original, that'd be cool :)

Activision gets paid for each copy of MW or MW2 regardless of which platform it was sold on. They sold better than Halo and they've been doing that ever since COD4. Nobody cares how much MW sold on just the 360 since its not an exclusive. Halo is marketed to 360 boys and they eat it up so it sells good on the 360, but still the best known and selling FPS is the COD series, it's on more platforms and it sells more copies than any other console game ever.

So what makes it king, really, MW series sells more games without advertising as much as Halo, and they're played online a lot on all platforms. That sounds like the more popular games to me.

The king is mw2 despite all the glitches, people like realistic shooters compared to cartoony scifi shooters.

Only version of Crysis 2 that will look better than UC2 and GOW3 is the PC version, as it will be running on expensive 2010 hardware compared to cheap 2006 hardware.
For a fair comparison let's see a 2006 PC running a 2 Ghz C2D + Nvidia 7800 GTX (Available CPU and GPU at PS3 launch) have better graphics than the PS3, it won't even be able to run it lol.
This game is full of "oh snap!" moments, so it's great that you can upload the last 30 seconds automatically to Youtube when something unexpected happens. Or you can choose to record 10 minutes, manually starting and stopping the recording.
Seriously, in 2 months I've been exposed to Heavy Rain, Bad Company 2, FF13, GOW3, Just Cause 2. Where do you find the time to beat ALL OF THEM and complaing about having no games in April.

Ms doesn't even have exclusive dlc. It's timed exclusive dlc which is pretty much meaningless because it's much easier to wait for extra content in a game you already own an play compared to waiting for a whole new timed exclusive game.
It used to be 4 chips of 64 MB each for the Cell, mounted on both sides of the motherboard. Now it's only 2 128MB chips. Definitely saves some costs.
