Well, do the math:
- Install StarCraft 2 Beta client
- Associate filenames
- Get map cache
Neither of those three requires logging in. The third on e though, getting the map cache is possibly the trickiest.
Well, you don;t need to watch replays offline for that. This is more if you don;t want to connect to the internet, or in some cases, if you don;t have the beta yourself ;)
Is there ANY way for Blizzard to relate someone not having the beta acc and using this with some other Battle.net account?
You can't even compare it to a video if you think like that. You might miss the voice from a Battle Report, but so much more details.
Only drawback is the time it takes to load the game up.
The client is the client. All you need is the map cache and you are good to go, my friend.
Who would have thought WINDOWS would save the day?!
If you are talking about NDA, then no. There is no NDA.
People can report whatever they want. But not share accounts ;)
Yeah, there is a pain threshold. It's like EU people playing on US WoW servers - not strictly allowed, but they ignore it as long as you're not stupid and sign up for regional arena matches or the like in the US region when living in the EU.
Lol! That really shows a lack of intelligence!
I strongly doubt this will have any effect whatsoever. I know a few people who account share, and I have not even heard a single person getting banned or even suspended for doing it.
I doubt this is a Blizzard priority.
Well, they kind of HAVE to have an official line, and they could NEVER say in the forums that "don;t worry, we don't mind".
To be honest, I would not bother too much with this, but the tips in the article (if read a LITTLE intelligently) are good, if you do want to share accounts.
Blizzard has a weird priority...
Yeah, I actually did not know about the unit display hting. That is really cool, and I would not have known about it had I not seen this.
Thought it was worth sharing.
Oh yeah, it's hardly a pro-gamer's guide...
I do enjoy having a beta key, but looking at the matches with like 1UP and those, they seem to never have played SC2 before., This is likely a good guide for them ;)
Hahahaha! Play for free FTW! :)
To be honest, it's likely to be like the first month of 3rd Q, since Blizz betas are usually not 6 months+
Probably just about 1Q in total. As I said, they are usually not a massive part of a year. Besides, it's pretty polished already!
They delayed the beta a year, I assume they know what they are talking about this time.
They give themselves a 2 month leeway though, so its obvious they are considering loads of options.
