after the FFXIII disaster, it's easy to assume that it would hold them back. only PC + PS3 with different teams, that would be the best imo.
i think this is the general advantage of the console versions - what you see is what you get.
you buy 1 console in like 5-6 years, you choose the one which in your eyes offers the best potential for that period (in my eyes, this was the ps3, and of course i don't regret that). then, during those years, you witness the ever-expanding performance of that console with better games with better graphics, gameplay etc.
