Gran Turismo 5 will be eating up the majority of my holiday break.
Don't forget MAG, that is something I could see a paid model possibly working as the game could benefit from charging players a few bucks each month.
Sony probably has their service capped, or there could just be a lot of people always downloading. I dunno.
I can only get maybe 20 Mbps but that's using radio wave connections that do nothing for decreasing lag :(
Really enjoy using these headphones, they are awesome.
If I only died 1 out of 4 times because my gun shots weren't registered I would be fine. But it's 1 out of 2 times if not more that I watch a kill cam to only find out my weapon never fired despite it firing on my screen.
My connection shows up as full green bars too, so it's not like I was lagging. The game was poorly made and needs a lot of patches to be anything close to a decent title.
Well the multiplayer is unplayable most of the time.
Sorry that I am used to shooting a gun and actually having bullets come out.
Kinect seems awfully precise to me.
Kinect games are actually modern games. Eyetoy was just a cute little gimmik not intended to add to the console, or perhaps it was. Developers couldn't make good games for the Eyetoy though, it was a novelty act at best.
Avtivater ring you had to set up on the floor though, right?
Kinect is under my TV and it stays out of the way. Literally to play it all I have to do is turn my Xbox 360 on, wave, and then say "play disc" I don't have to set anything up or grab a controller.
I have heard of the Eye Toy. Can you please elaborate how the Eye Toy is like Kinect?
Last I remember Eye Toy had you stand in this cutout of a person and hit things.
Kinect has you play games, Dance Central a great example at what it can do currently.
For the PS Move have you heard of the Wii, it was released back in 2006.
Saynora, that video is funny. My webcam can do that, but it can't play Dance Central.
Motion gaming is the same thing. You use your motions to control a character. Kinect lets you do more with your body to control the character.

Kinect doesn't control your TV, it can't change channels. Morons.

In the article it talked about how buttons are still important. But they aren't required to play games anymore like they once were. These games can actually be fairly complex too.
It's motion controls at it's best.
I agree with you on the sound, but there weren't really big frame rate issues. The main issue with the frame rate is if you skip through everything it takes it a second (literally a second not 5 or 20 seconds) to catch up.

Ohhhhhh girls can liven up a LAN party though. Only if they are playing the games too though, and they have to be good at them.
I do agree that most girls are a LAN party buzz kill though.
