"I won’t play any game I can’t completely experience for a set amount of money"
Same here. But don't abandon Nintendo yet. Just stay away from mobile (i.e., smartphones). I don't think Nintendo are about to screw up their console ethics. If they do, then you're justified in leaving them cold.
If all developers, meaning individual people, stood up to Bethesda and the other industry bloodsuckers, you would be right. Unfortunately, most of them don't have that much brass between their legs. As long as they can be replaced, they really have no power.
Deleted. (Posted in the wrong place.)
At this point, portable gaming to them means cloud gaming (aka streaming). I hate it, but that's where they're most likely to go.
Isn't a $1-billion apology for RRoD enough?
Nerfs as far as the eye can see. No thanks. I play on PC, and the paltry bugfixes won't motivate me to submit to nerfing.
Perfect statement on the issue--downvoted on this site, because of course it is.
I think its own hardware does all the heavy lifting. There are probably some system resources allocated to it, but not enough to impact performance--in properly behaved games, that is. If Fortnite is screwing up because of Kinect, that's on Epic.
After frequenting this site for years, I beg to differ.
Easily. It was revolutionary and welcome in its day.
Imagine if snowflakes had ruled early man. We would have become extinct before the woolly mammoth.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. Normal -> New Game+ in Hard -> New Game+ in Nightmare. Keep building your character items and abilities through the whole process. Nightmare does away with levels (you're always at Level 1); but proper buildup of abilities through equipment, shards, techniques and foods more than makes up the deficit.
When did console makers decide that calibrating the stick center positions was no longer necessary? Analog sticks do tend to drift with age and use. I have 2 Xbox 360 controllers now that became PC controllers, because they drifted. The console can't recalibrate the centers. The PC can.
They're apparently fixing them for free now, even out of warranty. See here:

It's a demonstrably inferior way to play games, and it threatens the gaming scene. Of course those of us who care and understand are going to hate it.
I highly recommend education. You'll have a better life.
It's for people who want a smaller, lighter, all-in-one portable game system. It's for kids, so they don't fight over the docked Switch, or so they stop whining at their parents about wanting to play it. It's also for those with $100 less to spend on the system.
Not hard to understand, is it?
"Um . . . no comment. You're welcome to speculate. I'll just drink my coffee."
Not exactly dependable news on the Switch Pro.
When you stop enjoying it before you finish it. So a game you always enjoy can't be too long.
Not only one game, but one game on freaking mobile, where the roost is ruled by vermin.
