well, doesn't Mantle start to change what defines "matching hardware"? isn't that the entire goal?
it's not just for low-end cpus.. it's for cpu/gpu combinations where the cpu is bottlenecking the gpu.
I don't care if it's NFL players or not.. I just want an online football game where you make a team and then play others.
there's no way they keep it going for 20 years. maybe WoW, but not PS2.

but i thought it was the gameplay that mattered more than graphical details?? Oh right, that was back in the ps3 days. Now that the ps4 is out everybody's mentality has changed..

@dsswoosh - it's that type of mentality that stagnates our beloved industry. "If it ain't AAA, it ain't good". Means that people just buy the same old games, meaning publishers don't take risks. PC is where you go if you want something fresh and new.

played it, thanks though. What i'm talking about is like a virtual lego world where you build, like minecraft, but with varying piece shapes/sizes, and physics so when you crash your built car parts fall off accordingly. Ambitious, I know, but I'll keep waiting.
i'm still waiting for one where you can actually build..
edit: should have clarified.. a lego game where building is the focus
napoleonic wars is tons of fun. I've got something like 400 hours logged, and still can't seem to get enough.
