I havent got the game but the streams are dreadfully boring.
The only person I trust is my friend, who has very similar taste in games to me - who has sold it on gumtree today.
Doesnt mean its a bad game, just means its not for everyone and that everyone has their own opinions.
Looks awesome, cant wait!
I don't have it yet as I'm skint but my friend does.
He often gets games before me, streams them so I can watch and then I usually go buy them.
Not this time. After 2/3 hours he was complaining at how bored he was, I had stopped watching and was on my laptop. Not for me.
The "biggest" game of the year is actually pretty small.
Don't moan at me about side missions when theyre all the same anyway.
Im not sure, I'm 23 and I was about 5 when the N64 was released.
18/19 year olds would of been just being born, and are more likely to be familiar with the gamecube which released around 6 years after.
"Franchise". Not individual game.
I have no intention of buying this, its not my cup of tea. But I have loads of games I still play (or am yet to play) that are 4-5 years old. Im guessing by then Destiny servers will be closed due to sequels and then the game will be useless. Wont even have any resell value.
I know alot of PC games are like this, but theyre cheaper and in general last ALOT longer than console games.
@Toddawesome
I doubt it. Halo was a one platform exclusive.
Destiny is releasing on 4 platforms, 2 of which are last gen. Plus its boring as hell compared to Halo.
Hell no the Alpha/Beta bored me half to death, watching someone else would actually kill me.
I love co op and I thank Capcom for still offering it. I wish other games did the same.
Right now there's only really Lego games, makes me wonder why I bothered with second controllers for my consoles!
So if their servers are ever down for what ever reason the game is unplayable?
What happens in a few years when inevitably the servers close, the game is just rendered useless?
I remember 14 years ago, getting The Sims for my 9th birthday.
It was amazing. If someone had asked me to imagine how good the game could be in 14 years I would of blown my mind. However, here we are all those years later and the Sims 4 is out. It is a huge disappointment, they could of done so much more. Sometimes I wonder if theyve released it in this state deliberately to make more money of DLC/add ons.
I remember the Manhunt case - that was ridiculous.
I played that game to death, but would never even think about doing those things in real life. Trying to blame the game for a clearly pre-mediated murder was so stupid. Besides, the game is rated 18 for a reason.
From a PS4 gamers perspective, this isn't good news, nor was the poor launch in Japan.
Competetion is what keeps things fresh. I already feel that Sony are slacking a bit when it comes to updates and new features and the bigger the gap grows the less reason they have to bother.
As long as PS4 is crushing the competition I doubt we will see much improvement. If the sales were more or less even both sides would be battling it out and always trying to out do each other.
Im having more fun on Minecraft...and thats just blocks.
When you put it that way it makes sense - it just didnt feel right when reading it the first time.
Good article though, makes a change to all the normal doom and gloom :)
Dull Alpha/Beta, very limited PvE content (after we were less to beleive its huge), bland PvP, and no doubt tonnes of paid for DLC that could have easily been In the original game. In fact half the DLC is probably just locked content already on the disc.
Its going to be like Titanfall, hyped beyond reason and then dropped a week later.
Theres no denying this service is great value. I'd pay a months fee just to play BF4 for a weekend!
Shouldnt this read "anticipated" instead of "expected"? Doesnt sound right to me?
Anyway, so many games this fall I cant wait for. The Evil Within and Shadow of Mordor being high up on that list!
Are any of us suprised?
PSN is weak. If Minecraft did this what will happen on big releases like Destiny or CoD?
When will these server issues end! Theyve been rubbish since PS3 launch. It always seems to happen at the worst times too, although that's circumstancial.
Its cheaper than most games in store right now. Its also in stock, which is weird as Diablo 3 has been sold out most places for ages.
I guess they just ordered in wayyyyy too many Destinys and not enough Diablos.
