Games for Gold is pretty crap tbh, but oh well I was paying the same price for XBL before they gave us freebies so the way I see it, its just an extra whereas the free games were part of the incentive to by PS Plus, so I expect them to be good.
This generation I prefer playing games on the PS for the first time ever. But the X1 offers ALOT more in terms of entertainment outside of gaming.
But I understand that isn't for everyone.
IMO, PS4 is ahead in terms of gaming but X1 is leagues ahead in terms of apps and other extras.
I'm really disappointed in the Apps on the PS4 right now,but its no big deal to switch channel to the X1 to use them.

My girlfriend uses the X1 more than me, plenty of apps for her and our 1 year old to watch films and kids programmes on, she loves it!

Say what you want about Xbox, they're doing it well. It isn't just a games console and every app and every update supports that. Anyone who actually owns an X1 would agree I'm sure. So far, I'm impressed.
The xbox has so many features it makes the PS4 feel empty.
That's not a bash on my PS4, just the truth. Its odd, cause with the ps4s owed you would think it would have more features as it can obviously handle it.

Oh and I wish PS4 version could use text chat like that. The console supports USb keyboard so there is no reason why we couldn't use it in game to chat.

right now I prefer my ps4 for games but my X1 for literally everything else. I'm one of the people that actually use apps alot and love upload.

Agree, its harder to afford games when you have bills and a family. When I was a teenager money seemed mu h easier to come by!
23 here, and feel the same after reading this..things were different when I was 15.
Only thing that's wrong is the one about prices. Games are now unaffordable more than ever to me, I have bills and a family to take care of. When I was a teenager every penny I earned was mine and only mine, I could afford alot more games!
Yeah I guess that would work better! My internet rarely drops but this was always a worry when the xbox was originally going to be online only!

Netflix is just something included in XBL. People have been paying for XBL for far longer than Netflix has been avaliable on the console!
I have been paying for XBL for 8 years or so - and back when it started there was no Internet Browser, no applications...nothing.
Just online gaming. So the deal has gotten sweeter over time, yet people moan even more? Get over it.
We all knew what the Xbox One was about before it was released and based out purchases on that so the people that bought one should be happy with it as it delivered on what was expected.
I understand the X1 is less powerful than the PS4, but I don't really see much difference yet. Maybe in the future I will, in fact I'm sure I will. Looking at how much the PS3 and Xbox 360 developed in their lifespan who knows what is round the corner!
