I have a major concern about this generation and Im hoping someone with a bit more knowledge than me maybe able to shed some light.
It seems alot ofthis gen does or will rely on online services such as the cloud. If future games rely on this does this mean that in 10-20 years time when servers are shut we wont be able to revisit our classics from this gen? Rendering our then retro consoles useless?
When it wasannounced X1 will not be online only I was happy...
Really cool technology but for me I'd rather it stayed out Rocky games.
Call me old fashioned but I still prefer the old TV and controller combo. None of these cameras and VR gizmos.
@Negative77 I don't know what he you played, but I found it played terribly. There was just nothing good about it. I was used to the old PC versions.
As long as both consoles are updated regularly, with no major bugs affecting them for too long without a patch then all's good.

Except for Outlast I'm yet to see a good indie on PS4 or X1.

Just look at SAMP, I still play that today and was once a scripted/mapper for an RP server. GTA can be so much more if it was on PC.
All I want is offline trophy support.
When my internets out or PSN is down I like to trophy hunt but if I can't even view my trophies then I can't.
I still play Skyrim.
Since release I play for a couple of weeks a time every 4-6 month's.
At this rate it will last me years! Currently halfway through the first DOC. An amazing game whenever I have nothung else to play!
Any news on whether trophies will ever be viewable offline?

All those that are bashing Xbox as it has so many shooters, this goes to show people like shooters!
They sell well because a hell of a lot of people like them, if you dont thats your choice, no reason to moan that alot are in production/released.

I hate Windows 8 on PC, but it might just work on a console.
The reason I hate it on PC is it didnt feel proffesional, more like a fun OS than a serious one where I could get work done etc.
Reading through the comments, it seems the X1 fans are actually enjoying their games and the PS4 fans spend all their time making comparisons and starting arguments.
But I understand it is unfair to stereotype, the PS4 fanbase is larger than the X1 fanbase - meaning although only a minority of PS4 fans are trolling idiots it seems like theres more than there is..if that makes sense.
Hmm I'm not sure. Forza 5 I found to be lacking alot compared to previous installments - but I havent played it in a couple of months perhaps its updated?
Killer Instinct sure looks good, but I've always been aweful at fighting games and cant even get through the tutorial unfortunately, so I can't really judge it!

Oonly played it for a week, only reason I kept is to see future updates and just incase any friends get an X1.

Not true. It only stays on if your console is on standby, use powersaving mode instead, plus you save electricity that way.
