I have to disagree with that. I feel most the time the enemies either run blindly at me or do barely anything.
Several times ive been standing right in front of an enemy who has been either completely unresponsive or looking the wrong way.
I understand its an Alpha though so Im not expecting a final build or anything, I guess I should get on the Bungie Forums to report my findings.
I loved the E3 trailer, the gore, settings, environment, characters...everything. After seeing this video I now know the game isn't for me as I dislike this type of gameplay. Never liked Dark Souls either, its a shame as I feel Im missing out.
Id love to see an more RPG focused game set in this universe, Im just really not a fan of the combat. If its easier than Dark Souls I may try it out. I don't have the time nor the patience for a game as difficult as I found Dark Souls.

In my opinion Ubisoft smashed it, and other peoples opinions will have no impact on that, each to their own.
So many games coming this fall, luckily I have a strategy. Every week in buying £10-20 worth of Amazon vouchers and as soon as I have enough for a game Im preordering one. So come October time I should have a whole load of games ordered and paid for!

Id understand if they had a stack of new IPs but it seems to me that they just reuse the same characters and games over and over again.

Its like people have an addiction, a NEED to complain. Ubi showed us a stunning demo, some may even call it flawless, so when the nit-pickers realised there was nothing to complain about they created this "controversy" to give them something to protest.
Obviously an Alpha is not the full game, so it will be missing large chunks. It seems to me that in this particular Alpha it is the fun that's missing. Everything else seems good, its just not fun.
I look forward to the beta to see how that's improved.
IM suprised theyre promoting this. All ive really seen since launch is people getting drunk, a hell of alot of drug use (on more than one occasion ive seen someone ejecting), a 2 hour racist hate speech, a couple having sex...its like a 24 hour version of Jeremy Kyle.
Either moderate it properly or put a stop to it.
Youre not missing much, its really boring. Hopefully the final game will have fun as they seem to have missed that out in the alpha.
After an hour my first impressions are as follows.
The game is holding up well for an Alpha, experienced no bugs or lag yet. The graphics decent but not stunning - I expect that will change yet. The controls are pretty standard for an FPS, plays smoothly. It has a basic customisation system id expect from an MMO type game, but again I expect that to be expanded on vastly yet.
But the main thing ofcourse is the fun factor and if Im honest Ive found it very underwhelming and rat...
I understand your point, it probably will boost sales. But to say that is the game the expect to sell systems months before release is odd.
Usually an exclusive would be expected to be a system seller. All this says to me is for a while yet the PS4 doesn't have much in terms of exclusives.
It doesn't bother me though, there's loads coming out these coming months I want.
The alpha is boring as hell, but obviously its only an alpha...but to say a multi platform game with very mixed opinions so far is the main system seller? That makes no sense...
They are two separate games entirely, they wont hold back current gen at all.

Oh yeah definitely scripted, but I think they did that to show potential. Unfortunately most matchmaker matches will be quick run and gun. IM hoping for smaller team modes, so I can get on with a couple of buddies and play tactically.
Used to do that alot on Call of Duty 3v3 team tacticals back in the day, had so much fun and won pretty much every time.
It looked stunning. If the console versions are even half that good im more than satisfied. Cannot wait to get stuck into Rainbow Six again!
I did find the voice chat funny in the demo, no one talks like that in game. Although it would be awesome if people actually played that tactically!
