"Only start showing it at E3 when it's out there and has become more established"

What the hell? This is stupid. E3 is the biggest event in gaming, and is covered by media outlets outside of the gaming community. It is THE event to show everyone why the Morpheus is worth getting excited about.

Absolutely agree. Developers should apologize when they release unfinished, glitchy games. Not when they hold it back and spend more time and money making it better for the consumers.

The gameplay is similar to The Walking Dead and Heavy Rain. If that kind of gameplay isn't a turn off, then start getting excited because this looks like its going to be a lot of fun. Especially if you enjoy streaming :)

Cannot wait! Looking forward to comparing endings with the misses.

"I switched from AAA gaming to strictly mobile gaming and never looked back," said no one ever.

I've never been big on RPGs, but I've had a blast with South Park and Child of Light. Final Fantasy XV can't come soon enough. And Y2K and Earthlick look pretty great.

I disagree. Unlike the vita, the Morpheus will get a steady release of VR games thanks to developers excitement for VR and the multiple pools of gamers they can sell to (Sony, Oculus and Valve).

It does. And if you have the ps4 camera, that's another VR component. The Move seems to add a great amount to immersion. I'd imagine that you'd be missing out on some of the VR Magic if you don't use the Move.

100% agree. Oculus, Sony, Valve, and game developers have all said that VR games need to be built from the ground up with VR in mind. Tacking on a VR option to Uncharted and God of War isn't ideal.

Having said that, I'd love to be able to play traditional games on a movie theater sized screen in a VR enviroment :)

Haha, I'm in the same boat. I was talking to a buddy and he asked me if I was planning to pick up The Witcher.

"The Witcher? Nah, probably not."

"What, really? It doesn't look good to you?"

"Oh, the game looks brilliant. But my relationship was getting a little rocky when Bloodborne released. There's no way she's sticking around until I platinum 200+ hours The Witcher!"

Don't...

If you're on this site regularly you know that Playstation sales on Tuesday is NA and Playstation sales on Wednesday is Europe. Same time as new games are released in each territory.

I cannot wait to see more of this game. E3 is only a month away. Here's hoping that Sony is planning to have the expo playing in movie theaters again.

The best way to deal with it is to start charging fines. ISPs know what you're downloading. Just have them add an extra fee to the monthly bill. It doesn't even have to be much. $50 will make people reconsider if that new Taylor Swift song is worth pirating.

It's still early stages with the Hololens. It's clunky to wear, the FOV is very small, the battery lasts only four hours, and it's expensive. The technology will get better and better, and more affordable down the road.

@someOnecalled Very true. I cannot wait to get a clearer picture of what both VR HMDs will bring to the table, and how the consumer versions differ from one another.

3949d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Valve's Vive is supposed to be the premium VR headset (everything we've seen for all VR hmd are prototypes thus far), allowing you to freely walk around a room and giving you cues when you're about to walk into a wall. how many developers are going to actually take advantage of this freedom? Probably not a lot, because deva will be wanting to sell their games on all possible devices in this new market. So I'd imagine most devs to make a game that'll work and play on all th...

It would have been good for Oculus to come out when there was no competition, but not the consumer. The rise of serious competitors has forced Oculus to push further than they anticipated. Lucky Palmer has stated that the first cv1 was focused on a seated experience. For example, Morpheus and Vive wowed people with demos that stand, and now Oculus are shooting for a hybrid sit and stand VR experience for cv1.
