Although I agree that Wii was mostly a console for little kids with it's PS2 archaic graphics & moms that want to use it as a gym/fitness tool and it was not for hardcore gamers in any way, and Mario & Zelda is not my thing (I used to play Mario once upon a time on SNES as all of us but as we grow up we move on from platforms) I still believe that Wii U will be necessary sooner or later for hardcore JRPG fans.

The Last of Us, Beyond & the new GoW looked amazing but as I am a JRPG fan more than anything else that's the most anticipated game for me, and I cant stop saying how amazing it looks and how amazing it sounds, I cant w8 to get it on my hands and squeeze every last drop of it :P

I dont know if SE plan to announce anything regarding Versus XIII on the upcoming TGS but I would be glad if they change the name & remove this "XIII" from it, it left a very bad taste in the mouths of countless of FF fans out there, make it XV or type-0.1 I dont care but we have enough of this abomination which is called FFXIII no more plz.
Ni No Kuni will be the first JRPG worth playing on PS3 everything else released till now was mediocre, Ni No Kuni represent all what a JRPG is, it have the likeable characters, an amazing story that pushes u forward, a fantastic fairy-like world fully explorable with world map, good old turn based battle system with real time movement on the field of battle & an amazing soundtrack to complete the package, and that's how a JRPG must be my friends.

The new engines r impressive for sure but it's not something we r going to see for at least the next 2 years when the next generation of consoles launch (and no Wii U cant be called next generation with 6 years old hardware) so for me the most impressive thing I saw at E3 was the trailer from The Last of Us and that crazy AI of enemies that make me go BOO! it was absolutely mind blowing to fight enemies that react that way.. it left me speechless literally.
So what r u saying that most ppl thinking like u? Wii U supposed to be made for more hardcore audience than Wii, and we all know what console all those hardcore gamers use PS3 or 360, can u tell me a valid reason for those ppl to own a Wii U? seriously what's the point to buy a Wii U when the MP support Wii U will get will be more or less the same with PS3 & 360? for Mario & Zelda? did any PS3/360 owner care for those games at the first place?

For a hardcore JRPG fan like me no1 yet ofc PSV have something like 4 times more raw power but no games yet to make me buy one, when 1 of the 2 handhelds get some good JRPGs worth playing that will include the original Japanese voice overs <- that's an absolute MUST! for me, then that handheld will be the winner for me.
I find it stupid to create a new engine having the current generation consoles in mind at mid of 2012, the new game Kojima working on right now "Project Ogre" is something that as he said will take a lot of time to finish that means that the next generation of consoles will be out more or less before he complete it, imo he must start focusing on the new consoles that r coming in 1.5-2 years.

Game of the Show more than deserve to go to The Last of Us that's the game impressed more than anything else and that's the game ppl all over E3 & everywhere else was talking about.
Versus & Type-0 is not main FF titles (VII-VIII-IX-X etc) this 2 games looks good but they r action-based and u cant control the whole party, SE continue the trend it start with FFXII with those 2 games they might be good but I want them to return to turn based battle system for the main series so I am talking for FFXV, if I see 1 more FF that u cant control the whole party and AI control your party I wont bother again with them, SE is a half-dead company for me after FFX, they didn't...

That's why I never buy a new console or handheld day1 like some of u did, PSV is power-wise the best handheld ever released but like every new gaming device in market lack good games the first few months, give it some time and I am sure the sales will sky rocket in the future when it's game library expand with some triple-A titles.
Exclusives is what can sell a console, yep 1-2 good exclusives titles is enough to make an individual who interested on this titles to buy a console, and that's why Wii U will not succeed to attract new audience imo but only some of the Nintendo fans who usually buy a Nintendo console day1, Nintendo luck mature exclusive titles until something change on this field no1 else other than Nintendo fans will care for this console.

I dont know what this guy say but as long we talk for JRPG fans no smartphone, tablet or even the most powerful PC cant replace a console or a handheld that's where all JRPG is u cant play those games anywhere else and I dont believe that something will change in 10-15 years SONY & Nintendo will continue to be the main providers for those kind of games and the fans will continue to buy their consoles to play their favorite games, simple as that.
