yes, swtor does keep you in because its story driven, which to many is more than enough in an mmo, however for me its not. BUt i do agree in that regad, it does help it a lot and it does influence but overall i think its just a mediocre game.
sad thing is theyre not failing. FIFA 12 has had the most sales ever, me3 pre orders are high, bf3 sold well and nfs the run sold very decent as well. They are not in the millions, but its enough to make a couple million in profits, so as long as they keep making that, theyll keep pushing origin.

If it was then they would take it off every other digital distribution, however, d2d, gamersgate, impulse all have bf3, fifa, me3 and all other ea games. Steam is the only one that EA doesnt want to have it. EA makes all the profit and they know gamers these days are so dumb theyll buy it anyways, like you. So they get all the money. Fact is, a game is not on steam for me = no buy.
ya the initial cost is a lot, however in the long run we spend less than you people and get more. The concept of updating every year has been debunked so many times. That rig you just named right there is good until next gen comes, and even then next gen console wont be as good as a pc.
we can spend a lot to begin with...however, in the long run we end up spending less. Our games are not 60 dollars and specially when steam sales hit. We dont need 60 dollar peripherals and we certainly dont pay for 15 dollar dlc as much as console players do.

i play on my pc to play on my pc. If i wanted a console experience i would buy a console, plus if it cant do eyefinity then there is no point.

this game is so bad it really made me lose all hope for the dragon age saga. They had such a great IP and then they butchered it for money. Now, swtor is just another example of a mediocre game. Nothing revolutionary there either. ME3 is already screwed with mp and third person mechanics added to it that make it look like gears of war. RIP BIOWARE.

i respect the wii more than the deadbox. I respect ps3 more than the deadbox. Wii is not trying to pose as anything but casual as nintendo has always been. PS3 has some great exclusives while deadbox is pretty much dead. Am a pc gamer, for everything else, theres mastercard.
