...they were released but when I got to the store two things put me off.
1. The price.
2. I thought the PSP-3000 looked better. You sit a Go next to the 3000 and the smaller screen was just all too obvious.
Does anyone know what the strategy is with the go given it seems to be failing everywhere?
By the way, I have the PSP-3000 and love it. The screen still dumps all over the competition.
...who the Go was aimed at. The price bracket puts it up against the ITouch, it offers nothing other than blue tooth and the PSP2 is probably coming out later this year.
However, all Sony needs to do is drop $150 off the price. I am already won on downloading all my games off PSN as its just so much better than buying them on UMD. Faster load times, better battery life, buy once and use on up to 5 PSPs at the same time. The Go still goes for $450 in NEw Zealand.
...that they could not somehow release this game for the PSP-3000 and Go only. Sick of PSP not getting more love like this because of rampant pirating.
...the original Bad Company but EA failed to put in dedicated servers for my region so lag pretty much made me stop playing. However, will still pick this up as the first one was still a blast.
For those who played the beta, what multiplayer game modes are there this time around?
...UMD did not fail. The Wii has a proprietary format and that's not holding back the Wii. Sure Sony failed to turn the UMD into a format for selling movies (on the PSP) but why would people pay a similar price for UMD as for a DVD. It was easier just to buy the DVD and rip it across. I guess this is why still to this day Sony have not given the PSP DIVX support.
As for what hurt the PSP the most for me was Sony's lock down of its features which prompted the homebrew and pira...
...then it could change the face of gaming on the ITouch.
...has set a new benchmark by which all other console racing games are compared. I for one want them to polish this game to the max before its released so delay until its ready I say.
...players should be able to score those who play. Enough negative votes and someone can only join games with those that have received votes. Basically, let the exploiters and cheaters play together and leave the other games with getting on and having fun by playing fair.
...with a special lens attachment to widen the field of view. It was actually quite an impressive title that really gave you quite a workout if you followed its regime.
...can pull something off that is a vast improvement on the Halo 3 engine however, I hope they just walk the walk and dont allow the hype and marketing machine to undermine their efforts.
All that money rolling in for an unfinished game. If people protest by not playing then they again lose nothing as they have not paid for multiplayer infrastructure.
As for it being an R18 game what a joke. How many kids do you hear playing it?
...does not come across as anything special and I dare say will get lost amongst all the multiplayer competition. Namely UC2, MW2 and soon to be released BC2.
...with the PSP Go. I wanted one but at $450 NZD its at least $150 more than I'm willing to pay for 5 year old technology.
...HYPE!!!!
...I really wanted to like it but couldn't. I even downloaded all the add on packs but something still felt amiss.
Biggest drawback was definitely the degree of lag in the game. Not sure if Sony put in dedicated servers for Australia and New Zealand but the lag pretty much resulted in you getting owned every time.
...what is there to beat about Home exactly?
I still can't understand what the appeal of home is as the games avail in Home are pretty naff and its full of dancing idiots that swarm around fem looking avatars.
I remember all the hype about what Home will do for gaming but as yet I can't see it. I would love to hear from those who spend lots of time in Home to try get an understanding as to why they spend so much time in it. After trying it twice (first when it wa...
...was grossly overpriced. What's the bet DLC for MW2 is no different.
...MAG will sell. I tried the beta and I can safely say I won't be investing in the full retail version anytime soon. Ignoring the graphics and sound effects the gameplay was nothing ground breaking. Not for a multiplayer game only.
The beta felt like something that should have been competing against Warhawk when it was first released.
...but I found Batman:AA just far too linear for my liking and it just didn't grab me. I agree the fighting was smooth but it felt like the game was doing all the work for you and just needed you to alternate between a couple of buttons.
I admit I never finished the game as I simply was not compelled to finish it. However, did watch my son play through and he loved it apart from the ending.
...you wan't people to buy MAG based on the beta only?
If the game was that much of a flagship title then Sony would have set up infrastructure to accommodate the press to help spread the good word.
If the game's only selling point is the number of players then I'm guessing that MAG will come and go pretty quickly.
