....cross game chat and invites that Live has the on-line edge however, free on-line makes the PS3 much better value for money. Especially when, like me, you live in a household where others (i.e. my kids) use your console to get on-line with their own profile.
Now, if MS charged a single monthly/yearly fee for an Xbox and not each account used on that Xbox then I'd be interested.
...now, let me ask you to take a step back and take the games out of the equation for a moment. Lets just compare the hardware.
I know you buy the system that aligns to the software you most prefer however, which platform do you consider is more feature rich and capable?
Sorry, but piracy is killing the PSP market and its all down to PSP-1000 and 2000 models. Find some way of only releasing games that work on the 3000 and Go. Won't eliminate piracy but I'm sick of those wanting a free ride making the rest of us suffer.
...Pac-Man CE on Xbox Live (hope it comes to PSN) and then Pac-Mania on the Commodore Amiga. Of course the original is still a blast from time to time.
...billing Killzone as the Halo beater. To be honest it was not as good as Halo but there was no reason it could not have been. Was certainly not as polished as Halo.
Halo had a great story, best of the series thus far (not played Reach) but I have to say, Killzone 2 provides the most visceral experience of both franchises. Honestly, playing K2 you can almost taste the dust and black smoke in your mouth. Its still the best looking FPS game I have played on a console.
...a bunch of low lifes are having to wait a little longer to break the law. Who cares.
...driving right then this will be the only racing game I'll ever need.
...who wishes the PSP had 2 analogs sticks would just give it a rest. It does not need 2 analogs, it just needs more games that exploit the controls it does have.
The DS has no analogs yet sells well. I dare say the 3DS will also be a power house in terms of sales and that will only have 1 analog.
I would have thought gamers would be more concerned about the games than a lack of a second analog.
...but I don't like the style of game. I always preferred old school shoot-em-up over beat-em-up. It's also $25 on PSN in NZ. I may have been tempted it it were $15.
...the game had better be the king of all FPS games!
Did not enjoy MW2 so will be renting this one at the most.
...to convince us that the PSP is not a dead platform. I love my PSP Go but it has the worst level of support out of all its current crop of consoles.
You can just see all the low lives coming out of the woodwork to steal PS3 games now. They'll use the same old excuses that games are too expensive or they would not have purchased the game anyway...blah, blah, blah. End of the day they just try to justify being a thief.
If nothing else I hope Sony can block anyone with a modded console playing on-line.
PSP Go is for a modern audience. An audience that does not want to lug discs around with them everywhere.
I get sick of the UMD discussion. Physical, over the counter, media will become a thing of the past. You don't see anyone who owns an IPhone or IPod touch bitching about it.
If the Go had been 2/3 the price it would have sold. Simple as that.
Compare the PSP with the current DS and the PSP wins every time. Compare the PSP with the Ipod Touch and the PSP still comes out on top for games.
Most people complain about the PSp only having a single analog yet the soon to be released 3DS has just that.
...only failed because of price. It was also not meant to counter the 3DS.
...trophy support on PSP what I see in that video does not prove it. Its clearly the PS3 XMB, just look at the resolution that is, how small all the icons and text are on the screen. Its also the PS3 ribbon in the background.
However, if does mean what they think it means then bring it on. I just hope like hell it does not work for anyone who has uses custom firmware.
...is gonna be huge. Honestly, the step up in the visuals over Halo 3 is impressive.
...the PSP has received over having only 1 analog stick you have to wonder why they did not include 2 on the 3DS.
...after watching him I will buy it for the PS3. Game looks fantastic even on the mid range PC my son plays it on.
...in seeing how well Bioware has the game engine running on the PS3. On a mid range PC the game looks fantastic. If they achieve a similar or better level for the PS3 then it means that ME3 should be a treat as well.
