I do not know what game you are looking at, but I would not describe The Order 1886 as "innovative". I wonder if you know the meaning of the term.
In any case, I am getting the game for the story, which seems to be strong. And it is not diluted by multiplayer. The characters seem well developed and it is a good singeplayer focused experience, by most accounts. Good enough for me.

Getting to play as Vergil is cool. I would have to say "not really" is you already played the game, though.
And I think the game rocked. And I have played every DMC game since PS2.
I have seen some of a playthrough on Youtube. Gameplay is nothing special. It plays like Mass Effect 3. Physics are not that impressive. Even down to how the environments react to you. Not that impressed.
This is a game I am definitely getting for the story. I am a big fan of Arthurian and Templar legend. So that is my motivation. This game looks OK, but not groundbreaking in any way from what I have seen.

It was hard for me to get totally angry at Ubisoft for AC Unity. It was obvious they put a lot of work into the game. The environments are just so stunning. The vibrance of Paris is incredible. Hopefully they will learn from this.
No more or less explosive than Tomb Raider on the Xbox One at this point. I do not have either of the current gen consoles yet, and with this coming to PC, it is not a motivator for me to get a PS4, if I was a fighting game fan.
What Capcom needs to do is make another Dino Crisis.
