We're living in the internet age where BLOGS, yup, blogs do have major influence upon MANY matters, including video games. To an avid reader of the Destructoid, Kotaku or even Major Nelson's blog...every bit of info counts.
Professional 'journalists' in such a young and confused industry are up against REAL gamers. You can't discredit our words. To have one ATTEMPT to discredit the other in such a manner says a lot about the accuser. We can all sit here and argue back and forth...
It seems no one here has even seen it. When it threatens or comes to close to their favorite games they just start spewing nonsense about it.

Why is it any surprise that a football(soccer) game won best game in Europe?
I first played the Japanese demo back in June and while the gameplay was cool I couldn't understand what was going on for obvious reasons.
I'd definitely say this game makes wonderful use of the SIXAXIS motion control.
Sony did a good job by grabbing them with the PS2 and niche titles such as SingStar and Buzz. Those games have generated millions and gained loyal customers. And Sony's European lineup is looking to continue the trend.
What I dislike is how Sony treats each region drastically different. Leipzig Game Convention for example. We've seen many things that have been announced by SCEE that have yet to be confirmed or dated for North Americans. I wish they'd really get their sh/t toget...
Look at who's declining in Europe and who's increasing in Europe. It's plain as day. I don't need to hold you hand through this one. And IF trends continue, MS has no foothold in Europe. IF is the word. I don't make absolute claims like you do.
To discredit Wii at this point is premature and naive. I'll get back at you in a year about that.

Europe's lineup of PS3 titles are what's going to sell the console. It's good that Sony has more clout than just the North American market.
Worldwide market, nope. Hopefully MS has a plan because I don't think the North American market can guarantee them a clear "victory".
