They just can't catch a break but with how sensitive the climate is with these sorts of issues Microsoft should have double checked stuff like this.
The idea of Kinect is great, however the actual execution of Kinect is terrible. I have been watching a broadcaster play Ryse and the whole time I was thinking that I would never want to use a Kinect to do any of that crap. Same goes for Dead Rising 3 and the worst part is that the damn thing didn't work well enough the first time. When I see people using the Kinect 2.0 it usually devolves into them yelling at the Kinect to do a simple command that would have taken less than a second with...
Too funny.
They had a few moments of great PR and then as usual Microsoft messes it up by being cheap. If a $500 console is defective the least they can do is give everyone who has a defective console a free game when they are already doing it for some of the cases.
Here is a thought, just don't offer anyone any free games if they have a defective console of any kind. No one was crying out for a free game, just replace their consoles quickly. I have a defective PS4, Sony is promptly...
Obviously PS4, but the real picture wont be clear until this Friday when the PS4 releases in Europe. The real picture isn't if the Ps4 will outsell the Xbox One, cause it will, but rather how much will the PS4 out sale the Xbox One. I can easily see a 2 to 1 scenario happening.
Not surprising considering they are using Windows 8 operating system with the console. Nothing against Microsoft but Windows 8 is hardly the most secure platform. Just be glad they got rid of the DRM otherwise there would be whole teams of hackers working everyday to figure out how to take apart the system. This is just typical stuff right here.
More Microsoft news that really can't be taking all that well. "We are learning"? Learning how to do what? Give your consumers a fair amount for what they pay or to figure out how to get as much money out of them as possible. I hate to be cynical, but I find it hard to think that Microsoft's learning revolves are giving the consumers more for less.
I think they will have no choice but to get rid of the Kinect, but once they do that they effectively kill developer support for it. If they can figure out a way to subsidize the system I could see that happening as all of their advertising potential is tied up in Kinect. The Xbox One is really a vehicle for Kinect, which has incredible marketing potential. The problem is that this potential rest in the hands of the mass market and at $500 they have priced themselves out of the mass market be...
No PS4 price cut makes sense, but no Xbox One price cuts doesn't make sense at all. Sony is already outselling Microsoft by releasing in only 2 countries. Microsoft has pretty much lost the US market and when Sony release in Europe we are looking at a potential 2 to 1 sales situation and thats before they even release in Japan.
Sony can hold out for a while with their current price, but Microsoft absolutely has to do something to change the situation before Sony pulls to...
This is a really solid move on Microsoft part. Hopefully Sony takes not and does the same thing.
That might have been true before how terribly they handled their multiplayer. After they turned gta online into a bad f2p mmo I am not even sure if I would buy the game on next-gen console. I would definitely do a cross-buy though, but if how they handle gta online is any indication they will expect you to pay full price.
Basically it's Windows 8. The problem is that some people don't like the Windows 8 look and you can't really switch out of it on Xbox One like you can with Windows 8 and desktop mode. What they have right now does work, hopefully there will be more customization options for those who dislike the Windows 8 look.
I think they will clear 1 million units sold easily. Remember Sony is launching in many more European countries than Microsoft, they have the much cheaper console, and Europe is strong Sony territory. Have you seen the amazing games Europe gets from PS+.
Really disappointing for them, especially with including a free game. They absolutely have to get the price of their console down.
I love that most of the surprises from the ps4 are good ones.
Exactly and had they focused solely on the console and not wasted time with the Kinect they may have achieved their goal.
If you really think about it the last thing you would want to do is fight a zombie in a zombie outbreak because you could end up getting overwhelmed and rushed. The idea would be to avoid fighting them as much as possible, after all it would only take one bit or scratch to turn you. I am really excited by this idea, at the very least it will mean they will avoid situations that happened in Dead Island 1 and 2 where you was constantly dying to insanely overpowered zombies.
This news really excites me. The problem that a lot of Techland games run into with zombies is that it becomes so overwhelming and tedious that it loses it's fun value. Hearing this news gives me hope that this will be the zombie game Techland has always been trying to make.
I am simply referring to getting their games in the hands of as many people as possible. Similar to the situation with Platinum Games and Bayonetta 2. Don't get me wrong, I fully understand that Microsoft is funding this project the same as Nintendo is funding Bayonetta 2 so ultimately this is a win for them.
My fear is that this game won't get the mainstream success that it deserves and it will just end up being another critical success that doesn't sell well fo...
I agree with EA, players should be patient and not buy EA games until they have dropped to $30 before they buy them. Something tells me that if people did this all of a sudden EA wouldn't release bug filled broken games.
