If ESO has a monthly fee than it is dead. The game isn't bad, but it is so incredibly generic, outside of voice acting, that it leaves you wondering why you would ever pay a monthly fee for it. Now if they where to go with a $60 fee like Guild Wars 2 did and than sell stuff with microtransactions the game become much more viable. As it stands now, most people are better off waiting until it's a F2P game.
He already has movies out and he just sold the rights to another movie. David Hayter is extremely successful. He did Snake because the fans where so passionate about the series and his role as Snake, not because he needed money. Which makes the way Kojima behaved towards David Hayter all the more disrespectful.
It would have been nothing for Kojima to call up David or take him out to lunch and let him know what was going on. Instead he was practically the last to know what wa...
Stuff like this is why I don't bother with Skype. I don't think this is anything sinister on Microsoft's part, but Skype has never been an incredibly well put together program. People like it because of what it allows them to do, but I constantly hear reports of Skype bugging or disconnecting.
Nintendo wasn't kidding around about pushing their marketing to new levels. Glad to see this happen.
Wow that is so shady. Doesn't EA realize this just make people hate their games even more.
Yeah I really like how quick people are to throw Nintendo under the bus. Like it's a sign of being cool or something.
How the heck is this "questionable marketing practices"? This is a great idea, and it gets advertising for their products. This practice is no more "questionable" than Microsoft's Doritos and Mountain Dew partnership or Sony's Taco Bell partnership. People need to seriously keep their perspective in check.
The Xbox One version of a multiplatform game being weaker is pretty much status quo at this point. People are either going to have to accept this and move on or buy the PS4 if they want the most powerful console.
Yeah they probably have enough cash now to go on and do what they want. This isn't surprising with the rise of indie developers and kickstarter support. I am looking forward to seeing what they end up doing and I still have full confidence in the Witcher 3 development.
I am looking forward to this game and will be buying it, but the Tomb Raider outfit seems a bit silly. If you like it, then thats cool and all. I just don't see the point of dlc outfits that aren't directly related to FF, but having those outfits don't bother me.
I can beat Dark Souls in 3 hours, that isn't a 3 hour game. I am sure if you rush through a game and have someone telling you where to go that you can finish it very fast. The amazing thing about MGS games is how many little things you can do and how much in the environment you can explore.
The restore license thing worked for me, can't thank you enough.
Yeah same issue here. My copy of Outlast is locked too despite having downloaded it on my ps+ account. Weird technical issues.
Looking forward to the content reveal and I am really glad to see Sony being so open with revealing content for their upcoming games. The whole thing gives you faith in the product they are delivering.
The Xbox One has great games on it and coming to it, so I don't see why Microsoft resorts to these sort of tactics instead of just pushing the games coming to the Xbox One and currently on the platform. This whole thing makes them look so weak and sad. I am not interested in the Xbox One personally, but that is more to do with Microsoft's policies than games. As a gaming platform the Xbox One is solid and it would be nice to see advertising centering around that content instead of usi...
Speaking of Nintendo and Pixar, it was huge misstep on Nintendo's part to not have Mario and other traditional Nintendo characters represented in the Wreck-it Ralph Pixar movie. I have read through the changes coming to Nintendo and for the most part I like them.
I hope whatever future we end up with isn't one dictated and controlled by Microsoft. You need only look at the PC market to see what a future controlled by Microsoft will be like. For this exact reason I will not buy a Xbox One. To be clear, the Xbox One is a solid console with amazing games, but it is the policies at Microsoft and the people who make the decisions that are the problem and need to be dealt with.
Until that happen I would advise people to be very careful...
On top of that, Nintendo has success in the healthy lifestyle area. When I heard this announcement of moving in that direction I immediately thought this could be huge for Nintendo. This non traditional sort of thinking is why it's so good to have Nintendo in the industry. We have Sony and Microsoft for the traditional gaming concepts and it's great to have Nintendo offering a different and fun unique experience.
This is particularly true when you are seeing a sale rate of 3 to 1 in favor of the ps4 for Tomb Raider. The whole console exclusive deal for Titanfall was a bad move anyways. Titanfall has the hype to be a billion dollar seller like CoD, but it becomes incredibly harder for that to happen when you are sticking to one platform and ignore the best selling platform.
I agree with the author 100%. I like the stories they tell, but deal with the glitches and bugs is just so annoying. If they are going to doing all of these games they need to get their act together and make sure these technical issues are fixed.
