Call it what you want. The PS4 or P$4 is making a killing.
Sony already did it when they released a cheaper more powerful console. They gained the trust of the gaming community. Now all they have to do is keep releasing great games. They can take their time and make quality moves.
I'm not dogging the xbone but the gaming community has made its choice.
How many price drop did the xbone go through? Yet the PS4 gap still increased. Halo 5 and a timed exclusive will not help the xbone. The gap will only increase once Sony officially drops the price of the PS4.
M$ is desperate so their doing whatever they can to try and catch the PS4. Price cuts, titanfall, forza 6, now halo 5. Pretty early to releases your top franchise games.

M$ blowing their load early. They really have no choice but too. Sony is just sitting back chillin. Bloodborne, MGS5, and Fallout 4 will keep me busy, until Sony starts dropping their big AAA titles.

BC is not that important. I still have my PS3. If I want to play old games I'll play them on my PS3. Sony doesn't need to compete with this. BC will not change or even make a dent in the lead that the PS4 has created.
People buy new consoles to play new games.
Based on how last gen went, it does. Xbox fans as well as people like Greenberg often bragged about how the 360 was ahead of the PS3. Now all of a sudden the sales don't matter.
PS4 is the best console this gen. Now Spencer knows that xbone cannot catch the PS4 but he will continue to work hard to improve the console.
