I could never finish the first one. I got to a point where it forced me to use characters I hadn't levelled at all, so beating one particular boss was physically impossible. Lesson learned: ALWAYS have two saves ~1 hour apart.
For most it isn't a money thing, but a space thing. They want small stands to bring with them when they travel so they don't have to carry the giant Nintendo one.
We still can't back-up our save data, though, so if your console bricks everything disappears.
They don't need to do a BotW 2, they just need to finish BotW 1. After beating Ganon it still doesn't even feel like the game has even begun because the story is pretty much nonexistent. Offering a full expansion to actually finish the game would be nice.
