There is no good news out there for this game. How could Obsidain create New Vegas in 18 months out of the assets of Fallout 3 while Bethesda themselves took 3 years to turn out Fallout 76 out of Fallout 4's assets and have such differing results?

Even? It's FAR superior! IT has an actual story with actual characters that I cared about. Corpses, robots, computers as a main story? How Bethesda didn't see this coming is amazing to me. ESO may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I love it and that game stands head and shoulders over Fallout 76.

Every game publisher doesn't have the long and extensive history of acquiring fruitful studios, turning them sour, then finally shutting them down as their assets are stripped and repurposed. With their "pride and accomplishment" attitude, EA has more than earned the multitude of hate and mistrust they continue to cultivate with their underhanded business practices.

Both series while having some similarities, they are vastly different. One is more narrative driven and focused, the other is more open and meant to be customized by the player. In The Witcher you MUST play as Geralt and inhabit all of the things that make him Gearlt. In Skyrim, you can play as anyone, invent virtually any back story you can imagine. Add in mods and the sky is the limit.

Their games are vastly different and cannot be compared. The Elder Scrolls series allows you to loose yourself in the game, becoming anything you want to be, especially when you add mods. CD Project's games have been great so far but do not offer the same type of experience.
So, NO, they won't make a better game, but a different one.
For me, a role playing game just doesn't work when the only thing you see are a pair of hands. The play style is in direct opposition of what an rpg is. Creating a character and customizing it makes very little sense from this perspective. Fans of first person will enjoy this game. Speaking as a person who only plays third person games, this is indeed an instant pass for me as well.
Watching gameplay won't have any affect on a person who has no interest in a 1st person game.
