What do you need an invite for? Is that going to automatically pop in your disc and take you straight to your friends side?
You have got in game xmb. You can send messages. If your friend is not playing the same game as you then send him a message, maybe a little something like this "Hey retard, I am playing cod, you coming?" and then if he does not want to come he can reply with a no. That is much better than an invite, that is a personalised invite.
Why? Every true gamer will own a PS3 in 2 years. So will all the causals when the price drops.

I will be playing Bioshock on my PS3 come the end of this year.
I am from UK, on Virgin Media. I got into the beta, played it for an hour, realised it was shít and no amount of playing time would make it better or grow on me.
Your not missing nothing the beta is shít, the game is slow, the controls are jacked up and its just a terrible all round online gaming experience.
How the hell could MGS go to Xbox? The xbox dvd discs aren't going to be good enough to handle the next GTA, how are they going to handle the 50gbs of MGS?

Custome soundtracks are not waiting for anything, Sony just dont force the devs to make them for the game.

Rumble is not coming to PS3 for COD4. Its as easy as throwing up a quick patch they need to hard code it into the game which they say is too much work.
