Openworld games need ram.
PS3 is an old system now. But for games that do not require as much and have a very optimised engine(uncharted) games can look great.
PS3 has 1ppu and 6 usable spu's.
So it's a single core processor, and has spu's that can help in other area's.
If the PS3 had came with a dual core cpu and spu's, all of the games would be 30fps and some 60fps.

Needs an upgrade in the graphics and gameplay department.

Nintendo made ka-jillions from the poor cheap hardware of the WII.
For the WII-U, they really could have gone all out.
Instead they have a basic medium type system with another controller strategy.
They should have pushed out a massive upgrade over 360/PS3. That would have looked fantastic and even when PS4/720 comes would have still looked quality and at a cheaper price.

Tech is held back, so companies can bring it out at a slow rate and make $$$.
I think a lot of people don't understand.
Were it not for the consoles, a lot of these games would not get made, and would not get the sales they enjoy. Although there are game that sell well on PC.
But these old consoles are pushed to the limit on old hardware with 512mb ram.
I've actually enjoyed more games on CONSOLE then I have on PC.

Many games are too expensive for a lot of people, yes there are classy games that are well worth the money.
But it is wrong to stop people getting games after time has passed getting things cheaper.

PC might be able to push out the best graphics. But other then multiplats that appear elsewhere, and unless your into mods, people still want PS3, because it offers other types of games you don't find elsewhere.
I still won't buy a nextbox720. Same old games and pay to play online. They won't change it because they make too much money on it.

As for gameplay, Halo is a lot more floaty, maybe MC is high.
Cod black ops 2 is the best online for COD.
But BF3 is Awesome as well.

Steambox is worthless, apple are losing touch. People who buy apple are getting ripped off all over the place. It's the same reason sony had problems with TV's. You can get a cheaper set with same features.

3rd party games are not big sellers on Nintendo hardware.
The only game that seems to defy that logic is MH.
Assassins creed 3 on wiiu - Native 720 , it isn't on Ps3
CoD on wiiu - The good looking version , the ps3 version is horrible
Mass effect 3- Much more stable than the ps3 version
Trine 2 - Graphics dramatically improved over 360 and ps3.
