This article is ridiculous! The New Year's "practically ancient" is it? And in what bizarre alternate universe is this writer inhabiting? If I remember right, there are 52 weeks in a year, so no, it isn't ancient, and seriously, is this "who'll win" console argument thing STILL going? Isn't obvious by now that the real winners are the gamers with a selection of games and consoles that far outstrip anything anyone ever envisioned for games even 5 years ago?

.. how ungrateful people are-THIS IS FREE. FREE. IT COSTS YOU NOTHING. And yet all people seem to say is "Where is the water update?" Online Create is HUGE, it will empower the LBP community in a whole new way. The LAG which has been a bugbear especially with a game that demands some very precise jumps and grabs within a robust but idiosyncratic physics engine.

It 's fantastic how responsive first party Sony developers are-look at Titan with Fat Princess, Naughty Dog wi...

I can't agree with the comment that KZ2 controls are unreponsive or clumsy. I LOVE how this game forces you to battle with gravity, you really have to carefully place your shots and wrest control of the gun. I'll agree that the patch and the effect it had on spawn points really took away any tactical advantage the spawn points could give (although a very carefully placed one can still swing the tide). RPG's, yes, in tighter maps are a real pain, but they also make for spectacular gameplay, an...

Not at all: Infinity Ward commissioned this video, and although their communiques with gaygamer stated that they did not pick up on the acronym, this reeks of "even bad press is good press".
If it was any there medium I might be willing to give it a rest, but the amount of homophobic slurs doing the rounds online (and it happens on PSN too, although less so) makes this particular video context-sensitive.
Apparently IW have withdrawn the video now, which is a small condol...

After reading not only the article itself, but the comments on here on N4G, I am troubled and disturbed. It seems the gaming community in general still has much maturing to do in terms of it's outlook on other gamers and walks of life.

First off, I am an openly gay gaymer, and enjoy shooting people in the face with an RPG online in Killzone 2 as much as the next guy. I know plenty of gay gamers who SWEAR by COD:MW, so to argue that they are not part of the FPS demographic is depr...

.. it's for this reason I hate the internet-it seems like all people want to do is put all that energy into ripping things up, espcially as it's something so beautifully, joyfully crafted and enjoyable as UC2.

And P.S. Bigger sales do not a better game make.

... a normal human response to a sense of "missing out" or not having something another person has. I'd love to be able to play the GTA IV DLC, but I've chosen my console, and am happy with my choice (more than happy). Sure I get jealous, but that's all part of the fun. What concerns me is the sense of entitlement some gamers seem to have; IMHO we are all consumers, and the only entitlement that comes with that is the right to a working product, sold honestly, and whatever else your...

... to wag his finger at the PS3, then the MW2 fiasco, and then THIS? There's a severe case of hubris going on somewhere at Activision. FAIL.

... this is painful news. Personally, the thing that makes me so sad, as the article points out, is Sony's strange refusal to promote their genuinely high-quality tech. Here in the UK, the Wii and Xbox dominate evening ad breaks-you barely hear a breath out of PlayStation, not even with brands like SingStar and Buzz. I personally will continue to support the PS3 as I think it's a great platform, and has given me nothing but hours of enjoyment since I bought it.

... a videogame blog making it's case with a well written article and overtures to common sense? It can't be?????!!!

My two cents? The "better game" will depend on your playstyle and personal preferences. Mine's inFamous, despite its many technical shortcomings, the essentials and fundamentals work for me.

This post got me thinking: my problem with blogs and the world at large is that their is a pattern (in the younger generation in particular) where people...
