Its just how their business model works, they have brick and mortar stores to support so they need to make the mark up. Not defending it by any means, just explaining it. Better option would just to trade with friend or go on gumtree/craigslist or find a facebook community group. I used to be part of a really good one when I was in Cardiff and we would all meet up once a month and trade what we had, really good spirited occasions actually. Miss them :(
