It's insane just how much I'm looking forward to this. Adore Vamp: Bloodlines, so a second immediately jumps to one of my most anticipated games around.
While it sounds great, it's a little too ambitious to say that. Yes, that will allow for something much larger than local hardware - but as will Amazon Web Services with New World - it's just the cost of developing and running such a title that could be prohibitive.
Looking forward to it. Remedy have an interesting track record and despite flaws their games can and do have, I always seem to enjoy them.
I'd certainly be interested in that. Dragon's Dogma was flawed, but certainly interesting and has great room for development.
Fair play to Insomniac. I'm a massive fan of the developer, having followed them ever since Spyro the Dragon & early Ratchet & Clank days. They've always been a studio that can make compelling gameplay and have some good writing, but making a game like Spider-Man would have required a lot more, particularly on the world and visuals alone.
Kudos to them.
It'll be interesting to see what he does following the failure that was Too Human and the seeming cancellation of Shadow of the Eternals. The problem he has now is that his name will always be tied to his previous successes and then the later failures. Either he'll come back and succeed or he'll become the next Molyneux.
Not a huge surprise. God of War is a fantastic title that shows a series that has seemingly outstayed its welcome can reinvent itself and truly come back stronger than ever before. It's a fantastic game and well deserving of the accolades it gets.
I would imagine that as it's a MP game, raid-style content is almost guaranteed. They'll need to bring something akin to end-game to draw people into the progression and give them something to aim for.
It's a game I've really been looking forward to. Reviews seem fairly consistent too - I'll end up checking it out because of the genre alone, hopefully patches will iron out any kinks.
DoA6 is looking to be a decent return for the series. Sure, it's still got the ott sexualisation but that's not a bad thing if the game itself plays well. From what I've seen and played so far, it does just that.
You know what, I don't completely disagree with him and for one simple reason - they are offering something to companies in return for these exclusivities. If that means more games get made, then aces.
Yes, the fact that Metro Exodus exclusivity came so late on is iffy, but I can't completely take issue with it since those who pre-ordered on Steam are still getting their copy.
Sekiro is both a game I'm looking forward to and also dreading. It's a From Software title, so of course, this is a game that I want to play right now, nevermind on day one. However, it's also published by Activision and if anything is true, it's the fact that Activision can ruin even the best of things.
Hopefully From Software were able to say "Nah, we're making it how we want to make it. Publish what we give you or bugger off"
Despite how wonky their titles can be, I've got a soft spot for Quantic Dream. Nice to see. I do think that they'd be better off also making smaller titles to make a more consistent revenue stream if they're going to expand that much.
Anthem is a game I'm a little concerned over, though primarily due to the impact it could have. Bioware, if this fails, is sure to be one of the EA bought studios that suddenly become a lot more... EA.
Yeah, it's things we've heard countless times before. If it actually is something that special, great!
Ubisoft are in a good position, naturally, due to their catalogue of titles. However, it's how it's implemented that counts. If it's a bad service like uPlay was when it started, it could end up being DOA.
Now if Ubisoft were smart and partnered with a group like, say, Shadow - then that would be an excellent opportunity.
Skyrim Co-Op could be bloody good, it all depends if the devs have got good netcode and such, letting it run smoothly though. We've always got ESO if not!
I can believe that, but there's something to be said for a world populated with actual content than copy-pasted rubbish like That Ubisoft Game, because they are all That Ubisoft Game. RDR2, well, I wouldn't want to run a company which damages peoples lives the same way that Rockstar did, despite it being a fantastic game.
The best open world game is still Horizon: Zero Dawn though.
The PS4 has certainly dominated this current generation. It's nice to see Nintendo having some success with the Switch too, especially following the abject failure that was the Wii U.
Supprt from devs and publishers is always good - provided there is an end benedit for the games & gamers.
