A.) Point of entry is an important factor. Sure you can "get" a 360 for under $200 and it's lacking some notable features (hard-drive/ online MP), but most consumers never pay attention to the details. They just see the sticker price, then end up paying for extras in dribs and drabs later. "Value" rarely fits into a consumers head, unless they are of the educated type (I don't mean "intelligent", I mean consumer aware).
B.) The only co...
and/ or getting the PS3 version out the door.
This game is going to be a fail of epic proportions. Even my mates who have played XI for years, have issues with the game.
Between MMO devs shipping buggy, incomplete, content-bereft games and these b.s. "vision" trailers that we get all the time, it's no wonder that WOW has such a vice on the market.
I'll be checking out Vindictus tomorrow though (thanks to N4G!). I have two...

So yes, they DO line up. Depends on the strength of the franchise. And really, only an idiot stands in line and takes time off of work/ life when you can get same (or next) day delivery TO YOUR HOME from ordering off the internet.
I haven't been inside a game store for over a year. I sometimes pick up a random sale item from Best...
Plus Trinity: Souls of Zill O'll and the YS and Legend of Heroes PSP games being published by XSEED.
PSP has been the SHIZZ lately for JRPGs. (PS3 too, far as home consoles go.)
Sorry, but that's a crock.
"Critics only play the single player and like 5 hours of multiplayer. Multiplayer is where the game shines and that's what people are gonna play for the next years."
Really? How come White Knight Chronicles got lambasted in the reviews? Reviews posted before any of the NA servers even went live? The "user reviews" of that title, from people who ACTUALLY PLAYED the multi-player, were shining (single-play...
I quite enjoyed ROF and Star Ocean.
An HD Shining Force would be lovely too.
Yeah, it's pretty rough. But I'll play any sort of Japanese trash. I have almost all of the achievements for Bulletwitch, if that gives you any indication :)
The software mouse is crippled. The UI is unintuitive. There are menus after menus to wade through.
I wouldn't even say it's a straight console port as much as it is an archaic and critically dated design. With a company as focused on "taking the West" as SE is, you'd think that they would have paid more attention to what MMO gamers want and the shifts in the market.
I'll try a second beta when it launches for the PS3, but my expe...
I don't know what happened between the initial in-game footage and that mess that they shat out in the form of a demo.
This is a rental or bargin-bin game, for sure.
I agreed with you, till the second line of your post.
Let's just address this, not the other, fail.
Who are these twats? X-Factor spawn, I take it. They look like Bieber's long lost twin brothers.
This seems like a poor choice of celebrity to endorse one's product. Nicole Kindman and some of the others I can see - as they appeal to women and older demographics. Nintendo already has the "kid" appeal down. Seems like overkill.
A.) Include pixel-magnified screenshot comparisons of multi-plats that look almost identical except under extreme scrutiny.
B.) Slander Kinect or the Wii or the Move enough to attract the trolls.
C.) Use a sensationalist headline: "Why the PS DOESN'T MOVE."
D.) Use some other flamboyant spin, sales statistic reference, Amazon pre-order figures or flame-bait.
I love these sorts of articles, you know, factual repo...
Do yourself a favour and stop replying to my posts. You haven't once demonstrated that you can accurately understand what I am saying, so any response that you issue makes no sense.
The reason why software sales are flat is because old owners are rebuying the system, its as simple as that. The parity between Madden sales when the 360 is supposedly UP on the PS3 by 8 million units in the US, should tell you something about the real amount of 360 owners in NA.
...
you're basing this off a few months in one region, with a new model 360, and price reductions on all the older models. Japan is abysmal and sales are dropping in EU.
"The PS3 only managed those numbers due to brand loyalty."
Umm, ok, well so did the 360. Please explain to me how despite the world-wide up-tick in 360 hardware, software remains flat. How are all these new 360s are being sold, yet software is not? Because 360 loyalists are re-bu...
I liked the story in the first one better. 2nd one had some terrific set-pieces and action, but the story wasn't as good (or cohesive) as the first. Too many plot threads.
I have a feeling that the 3rd one will be a "back to its roots" sort of affair. Looking forward to it.
they probably will.
Kinda fun, but average across the board (from my impressions of the demo). I thought that they were using the NGS2 engine for this, but I could be wrong. If they were, the game really should have looked better than it did.
Oh, and it might just be in the demo, but the compressed vid cut-scenes were awful. Dante's Inferno did that and it looked like $hit. Note to devs: lots of people have HD tvs now and don't want 480p cut-scenes.
there's a great deal of cultural respect and honor that goes behind statements like that. Not all of those people are just "crazy PS3 fanboys".
I wouldn't expect you to understand the nuances of other cultures though, as you can barely be civil with your own.
In any event, random internet rants aren't to be taken seriously, you've demonstrated that admirably and on every occasion that you speak.
I don't know what rig you have, but I'm playing on a high-end i7 with a Xfire ATI solution and the thing plays like a slide-show at times (not just from lag either, sometimes just when panning and running around).
The engine is not built very efficiently. It shouldn't be crippling computers specced like mine. I've tried a variety of fixes and nothing really improves it by much.
What machine are you using btw?
