You just said everything buddy. With such great features, amazing games, blu-ray, the only reasons not to own a Ps3 now is either being broke or just being a blind fanboy with no regard for gaming.
This is really great news! Maybe now people can stop supporting faulty hardware and buy a PS3 instead. The only thing Sony has to do now is to advertise the hell out of the PS3.

I can't believe how people continue to buy these things. There sure are a lot of folks with a lot patience, money, and dumbness. When I make a purchase, I want to get the most out of my money. Sure I could waste 299$ on a console that still uses DVD, has a 33% chance of RROD, has pay-to-play online, has pay-to-have wifi and only has 3 really good exclusives (Halo 3, Fable 2 and Gears2). Fortunatly I am not dumb enough to buy a console based on advertising alone, so I prefered to invest more 1...
I also abandoned TV. I don't have that much free time, so I prefer to waste it playing videogames, instead of watching Ads... Besides, when I found out I could watch any series I wanted and when I wanted on my PC, the TV lost it's purpose.
I don't really care much about graphics. I mean, graphics are important, sure. And the PS3 DOES look better. But the Xbox 360 version looks great as well, so... we all win. And what really matters is the gameplay anyway.
I am more concerned about the "lack" of blood in the Ps3 version :( I kinda like to see blood squishing everywhere when I cut a guy in half, it reminds me of God of War :D
I hope they add more blood in future versions. But if they don't, no...

There is currently NO widespread way to pirate Ps3 games. Gun_Senshi was saying that it is possible to do so using Linux, but I think he is mistaken.
Even the Xbox 360 is kinda hard to pirate, much harder than the previous generations, but still possible to do so with a little work.
So at the moment, the consoles which are more pirated are the Wii (easy to pirate), the PSP (very easy to pirate, the earlier versions) and the DS (not that hard). And the Pc plataform of course...

In Portugal games are WAY to expensive. I wanted to buy Infamous... I went to a regular store and it costs 69 EUROS. That's way too much, even for a game as awesome as Infamous. I can get the same game in amazon.uk for 34 euros (shipping costs included) ^^

If one compares this gen with the previous one, taking for example the Ps2, it had LOADS of great exclusives. Devil May Cry's, ICOs, Final fantasys, Shadows of Collossus, Metal Gears, Gods of War, Personas, you name it. The gamecube and xbox had their share of great games as well.
So far this generation has been generous with quality, but not with quantity. BOth Xbox 360 and the Ps3 have very good exclusives... but they are, unfortunaly, too few. Both consoles have 4, 5 really go...

When I saw this interview, yesterday before reading this article, the graphics quality issue didn't even cross my mind. I think the game looks fine the way it is! It's an MMO, neither it needs really stunning graphics, nor it should have them. A balance between solid presentation and not too demanding graphics is the way to go, since it will appeal to a broader audience : people with mid-to-low hardware and high-end hardware alike.

I just bought my friend's used PS2... I am ashamed to say I didn't own a PS2 (never got around to it really, at the time PC gaming was still very strong) but there were so many amazing games on the PS2 that I had to buy one. Besides, I didn't want to play some games like God of War 3 without playing GOW1 and 2, I am one of those people who actually cares about storylines :D
